Pleasantville, N.Y. – Freshman midfielder
Colin Sypek (Lake Worth, Fla./American Heritage School (Delray Beach)) tallied a career-best five points as the sixth-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team recorded an 11-6 victory over seventh-ranked Pace University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Pace Stadium.
Pace opened the game's scoring just under seven minutes into the contest as Vincent Vasheo scored at the 8:01 mark.
The Dolphins answered with six straight goals, split over the first and second quarters. Junior midfielder
Ross Filtch (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus/Siena) netted the first goal with 7:14 remaining for his 10th tally of the season. In an extra-man situation, senior midfielder
Josh Slowinski (Williamsville, N.Y./Clarence) put the Dolphins in front with an unassisted tally, his 16th of the year, with 2:44 left. Freshman attackman
Kevin Sheehan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) made it 3-1 with his 15th goal of the campaign with 10 seconds to go.
Sypek started the second quarter's scoring 57 seconds in. He scored again with 10:52 left to force a Pace timeout. Sypek made it 6-1 with his third straight goal and 12th of the season with 7:17 until halftime.
Wyatt Barfoot snapped Pace's scoring drought of 22:13 by finishing off a pass from Joseph Diggle with 48 seconds left.
Junior attackman
Riley Larson (Fairfield, Conn./Ludlowe) completed the scoring in the half with his team-best 27th goal of the season with 12 seconds remaining off a pass from senior midfielder

Sophomore midfielder
Ben McCreary (Cicero, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) registered his seventh goal of the season off a pass from Sheehan with 5:18 to go.
Bradley Patterson answered for the Setters 42 seconds later off a feed from Daniel Keenan.
Sophomore attackman
Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook) tallied the final goal of the third quarter with 1:40 left after collecting a pass from Sypek.
Andrews pushed Le Moyne's lead to 10-3 with an unassisted goal with 11:31 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Pace netted back-to-back goals to trim its deficit to 10-5. Keenan scored with 9:37 to go off a feed from Barfoot. He scored again with 6:29 left off a pass from Paterson.
Andrews completed Le Moyne's scoring with 5:18 remaining after receiving a pass from Sypek.
Tomas Rodriguez wrapped up the game's scoring with an unassisted goal with 2:22 left.
Junior goalkeeper
Riley Smith (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker/Onondaga C.C.) earned his fourth straight win between the pipes after making 10 saves, including three in each of the last three quarters. Louis Ragusa registered 14 saves, including seven in the first quarter, for the Setters in the loss.
Le Moyne (10-2, 7-1 NE10) returns to action on Saturday at top-ranked Adelphi University at 3:00 p.m.
