Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior forward Tom Brown (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) registered a double-double to lead the Le Moyne College men's basketball team to an 84-74 victory over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Court on Tuesday night.

Brown recorded his seventh double-double of the year with 17 second-half points and a career-best 15 rebounds. Senior guard Ryan Roland (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Mercyhurst) led all scorers in the contest with 19 points, including the team's first 11 of the game, a career-high nine assists, five rebounds and three steals. Sophomore guard Nino Hernandez (Gardner, Mass./The Winchendon School/Bryant) scored 12 points, while redshirt senior guard Malik Garner (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow/Sunrise Christian Academy/Saginaw Valley State) posted 10 points. Sophomore forward BB Chuks-Mady (Hamilton, Ontario/GTA Prep) pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds to go with eight points.

Brandon Kolek led six Ravens in double digits with 13 points, including seven in the second half. Doyin Fadojutimi and Maxwell Zegarowski each scored 12 points, while Fadojutimi had a team-best 10 rebounds. Falu Seck tallied eight of his 11 points in the first half. Sean Fasoyiro and Antonio Chandler each netted 10 points.

After the teams traded baskets over the opening two and one-half minutes, the Dolphins recorded a 10-2 run to open up a 15-6 lead. Roland hit back-to-back three-pointers and then Hernandez scored four points.

Following an 8-4 spurt by the Ravens to get within five, junior guard Tim Leavell (Marion, Ind./Marion/State Fair C.C.) drilled consecutive three-pointers for the team's largest lead of the half.

Franklin Pierce countered with a 9-4 run to close within 29-23 with 6:57 to go in the half. Seck, Kolek and Chandler each made three-pointers in the span.

The teams continued to trade runs the remainder of the half. After the Dolphins scored four points to go up by 10 again, Franklin Pierce scored six in a row, including four by Fadojutimi, to get within four with 3:35 left.

Le Moyne answered with an 8-2 spurt to go back up by 10. Garner had all eight points with a pair of three-pointers around a fast-break jumper.

The Ravens closed the half with the final five points to get within 41-36 at halftime.

Le Moyne scored the first six points of the second half to extend its lead back to 11. Hernandez, Brown and Roland each scored in the span.

After Brown gave the Dolphins a 49-39 lead with 15:33 left, the Ravens scored nine straight points to cut their deficit to just one with 13:21 to play.
