Madeleine Kennedy (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) landed 17 kills to lead the Le Moyne College volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Pace University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Court.

The Dolphins opened the match with the first four points before Pace answered with a 6-2 run to even the first set at six. After the teams split the next 12 points, the Dolphins scored three straight points and 10 of the next 11 to blow the set open. Pace ended Le Moyne's 7-0 run with a kill, but the Dolphins scored the final three points for a 25-14 win.
After New Haven scored the first point of the second set, the Dolphins ran off the next five. The Chargers pulled within 7-6, but the Dolphins scored four in a row and nine of the next 11 points for a 16-8 advantage. New Haven got within 19-14, but the Dolphins used a pair of 3-0 spurts around a New Haven point to close out the set, 25-15.
After the teams split the first six points of the third set, Pace used a 5-1 run to take a four-point lead. The Dolphins later used a 4-0 spurt to even the set at 10 points apiece. Following a tie at 13, the Setters scored three in a row for a 16-13 lead and later had a 20-17 advantage. The Dolphins got within one on three occasions and had the serve before finally knotting the set at 23. Pace took a 24-23 lead to get within set point, but the Dolphins countered with back-to-back kills from senior middle blocker
Kendyl Gorick (Windsor, N.Y./Windsor) to get within set point themselves. A service error by the Dolphins kept Pace in the match, but Le Moyne scored the final two points to end the set and the match, 27-25.
Kennedy recorded eight kills in the first set and had seven in the third set, while hitting a season-best .448, the second-best mark of her career. Her 17 kills are also her most this season and the second-most in her career. Redshirt freshman middle blocker
Alisiana Muscoreil (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) landed a season-best eight kills, including five in the first set, and hit at a .778 clip. Graduate student setter
Emily Yancone (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) dished out 32 assists and added six digs and four kills. With her 17th assist of the match, she passed Denise Shippos '95 for seventh on the program's career assists chart with her 2194th. Redshirt freshman libero
Isabella Leslie (Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) led the Dolphins defensively with eight digs.
Brielle Jones led the Setters in the loss with 11 kills, including six in the third set, and five digs. Georgette Cosentino handed out 14 assists over the second and third sets. Emily Cockell led the defense with 12 digs.
Le Moyne (3-10, 1-4 NE10) is back on the court on Friday at Stonehill College at 5:00 p.m.
