Syracuse, N.Y. – Emily Barry tallied 14 kills to lead the University of New Haven to a 3-0 win over the Le Moyne College volleyball team in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Court.

After the Dolphins scored back-to-back points to get within 11-9 in the first set, New Haven went on a 12-3 run to take control of the set. The teams then alternated points before the Chargers recorded a 25-14 win. New Haven opened the second set with the first six points and 12 of the initial 15. The Dolphins countered with a 5-2 spurt to get within six, but New Haven scored the next four points for its first double-digit lead of the set. Following three points from the Dolphins to get within 21-14, the teams traded points over the last seven, leading to a 25-17 win for the Chargers. New Haven jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the third set. The Dolphins closed within 17-13, but the Chargers countered with five straight points and eight of the last 13 for a 25-18 victory.

Madeleine Kennedy (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) led the Dolphins with six kills. Graduate student setter
Emily Yancone (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) dished out 20 assists and had seven digs and a pair of kills. Redshirt freshman libero
Isabella Leslie (Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) registered a match-high 17 digs.
Barry hit .278 en route to her 14 kills, while adding nine digs and two blocks. Sophia Leon-Tabor directed the offense with 31 assists, while posting eight digs, three kills and two blocks. Rilee Jessee led the Chargers defensively with 14 digs. Jessica Akiona just missed a double-double with 13 digs and nine kills, while Macy Brown tallied 12 digs and eight kills to go with four assists.
Le Moyne (2-10, 0-4 NE10) is back in action on Saturday against Pace University at 1:00 p.m.
