MEN’S TENNIS REMAINS ONLY UNBEATEN WITH 7-0 VICTORY AT SAINT MICHAEL’S

Colchester, Vt. – The Le Moyne College men's tennis team remained the only undefeated team in the Northeast-10 Conference with a 7-0 victory over Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon at the SMC Tennis Courts.

After claiming the third spot by default, the Dolphins earned the point in the doubles competition as sophomores Kacper Piekarek (Wroclaw, Poland/Autorskrie Licea Artystyczne Akademickie/Missouri-Kansas City) and Ethan Miller (Swindon, England/Cirencetser Kingshill School) defeated Connor Scott and Tyler Whitney at the second position, 6-1. Seniors Jared Howard (Malmesbury, South Africa/Homeschooled/ASA College) and James Howard (Malmesbury, South Africa/Homeschooled/ASA College) completed the sweep with a 6-2 win at the top spot over Josh Weiss and Jason Boucher.
 
The Dolphins swept the singles competition for the fourth time in five matches this season. Following a Le Moyne win by default at the sixth spot, sophomore Erik Adler (Lima, Peru/Santa Maria College) gave the Dolphins a 3-0 lead in the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the fifth position over Luke Ramsay. Piekarek clinched the match for the Dolphins by defeating Scott at the third spot, 6-3, 6-0. Sophomore Felipe Cruz (San Jose, Costa Rica/Blue Valley School/Saint Louis) tallied a 6-0, 6-2 win at the fourth position over Whitney. Jared Howard improved to 10-0 as a Dolphin by downing Weiss at the top spot, 6-0, 6-2. James Howard closed out the sweep with a 6-1, 6-7 (5-7), 12-10 victory over Boucher at the second position.
 
Le Moyne (5-0, 5-0 NE10) is back in action on Tuesday hosting Adelphi University.
