Syracuse, N.Y. – The latest phase of the Dick Rockwell Field improvement project was installed this week in the form of a new Daktronics scoreboard and video display.

"This new state-of-the-art scoreboard will elevate our game presentation and continue to enhance our overall student-athlete experience," said Le Moyne Director of Athletics Bob Beretta. "I'd like to thank all those who donated so generously to the project. The continued philanthropic support we receive is critical as we strive to improve our facilities and deliver a premier product for our student-athletes and the entire Le Moyne community to enjoy."

The new 10-inning scoreboard measures seven-feet high by 25-feet wide and features 15-inch tall LED panels for each of the 10 innings, total runs, hits, errors, the batter number, balls, strikes and outs. The scoreboard also features customizable team name panels. Above the scoreboard is a two-feet high by 41-feet long decorative sponsor panel, which features the primary athletic logo on each end with "Le Moyne Dolphins" in the middle.

The newest addition to Dick Rockwell Field is a DVXMC video display, which is located on the right side of the scoreboard and measures six-feet, nine-inches high and 15-feet, 11-inches wide and features a 15.85 full-color matrix display.

The project is being financially supported by donations to the Dolphin Athletic Association. With an anticipated donation from the 21st Annual John E. Russo Memorial Golf Outing, the project has raised $250,000 to date with a target of $300,000, which will then complete the dugout phase. Currently, 130 individuals have contributed to the project. The first phase of the project to be completed was updated batting cages located behind the left-field fence.
