WOMEN'S SOCCER EARNS 3-1 VICTORY AT CALDWELL

Caldwell, N.J. - The Le Moyne women's soccer team earned their first win of the season on the road against a tough Caldwell side.

The Dolphins got on the board half an hour into the contest when first year forward Brooke Wilson (Rochester, N.Y./Hilton) got free inside the box, corralled a loose ball off of a Le Moyne free kick and knocked the ball into the goal to give the Dolphins a 1-0 lead.

A little over ten minutes into the second half, senior midfielder Ali Greco (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) crossed the ball into the box, finding fellow senior Lexi Aquilino (Depew, N.Y./Maryvale) who finished the play off with a shot past the Caldwell goalkeeper into the back of the net, extending the Le Moyne lead to 2-0.

The Dolphins tacked on an insurance goal in the 80th minute when graduate student Maddison Vine (Odgensburg, N.Y./Lisbon) found senior forward Hannah Brown-Trice (Seneca Falls, N.Y./Mynderse Academy) with a pass into the box to give Le Moyne their third goal of the afternoon.

The Cougars got on the board with a goal in the 85th minute, scored by Hannah Marino, but Le Moyne held on to earn the win by a score of 3-1.

Junior goalkeeper Allison Moreau (Sauquoit, N.Y./Sauquoit Valley)  played all 90 minutes in net for the Dolphins, making a total of five saves during the win.

Le Moyne head coach Carrie Bonus had this to say about her team's first win of the young season, "Well fought team win today. We showed a lot of focus and maturity to take care of business against a very physical Caldwell team."

The Dolphins improved to 1-1-0 on the season, and will be back in action Wednesday, September 15th at Ted Grant Field for their first Northeast-10 Conference matchup against Pace.
