Luke Sutherland (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/Siena/Bryant) tallied 15 points to lead the Le Moyne College men's basketball team to an 87-58 victory over American International College in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday night at Ted Grant Court.
Sutherland recorded nine of his team-high point total in the first half, while adding a game-best seven rebounds. Fourth-year junior guard

Zy'Ever Wingfield (Richmond, Va./Henrico/Fork Union Military Academy) each tallied 10 points and two steals off the bench, while Washington had four rebounds and a team-high four assists.
Jalen Jordan led the Yellow Jackets in the loss with 18 points, 10 of which came in the first half. Aguibou Balde recorded nine of his 14 points in the second half.
After Jordan hit a three-pointer to get the Yellow Jackets on the scoreboard, the Dolphins ran off 11 straight points to take a 16-3 lead with 13:53 left in the first half. Sutherland scored the first four points and then the Dolphins got contributions from first-year graduate student guard

The Yellow Jackets closed within seven on a pair of occasions over the next three and one-half minutes, but then the Dolphins rattled off 17 of the next 19 points for a 37-15 advantage with 5:52 to go. Freshman guard

Isaiah Elmore (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Catholic) converted two free throws, Wingfield made another jumper and then Salter buried another three-pointer.
The teams went back and forth over the final 5:17 of the half as Le Moyne's lead bounced between 18 and 24 and settled at 22 at halftime following a steal and breakaway dunk by redshirt sophomore guard

Following a pair of three-pointers by Jordan to open the second half, the Dolphins used a 16-4 run to take their first 30-point lead of the season. Sutherland scored the first four points, senior forward
Xavier Wilson (Spring Valley, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac/The Hotchkiss School/Central Connecticut State) tallied six straight points, DePersia and Mosquera scored in the paint and then Wingfield capped the stretch with a dunk.
After the teams split the next 12 points, Jack Hall drained a three-pointer to pull AIC within 27, but the Dolphins countered with 14 of the next 19 points to take their largest lead of the game, 86-52, with 2:12 to play. Constant scored six of the points, while four others each added a basket.
Balde scored six points over the final two minutes around to Le Moyne free throw to close out the game's scoring.
Le Moyne (5-5, 4-1 NE10), which has won five of its last seven games, returns to the hardwood on Sunday at Assumption University at 3:30 p.m.
