MEN'S TENNIS EARNS 7-0 VICTORY OVER UNIVERSITY OF THE SCIENCES

Philadelphia, P.A. – The Le Moyne College men's tennis team improved to 15-1 on the season with a 7-0 victory over the University of the Sciences on Saturday evening in Pennsylvania.

The Dolphins won all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day. The duo of Tom Jarry (Paris, France/CNED Toulouse/Emmanuel) and Ethan Miller (Swindon, England/Cirencetser Kingshill School) bested USciences' Jack Kosiorowski and Eli Gan-Dy 6-1 in first position doubles, and Le Moyne's team of Manuel Righi (Bologna, Italy/IPC Manfredi – ITC Tanari/Concordia (N.Y.)/Universita Di Bologna) and Peter Hatton (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt/Club Med Academics/Army West Point) claimed the number two doubles match by a score of 6-0 over Brandon Gildea and Dhruv Modi. James Howard (Malmesbury, South Africa/Homeschooled/ASA College) and Jared Howard (Malmesbury, South Africa/Homeschooled/ASA College) took down Pedro Ramos and Borna Markusic 6-1 in third position doubles.

Righi won the first set over Kosiorowski, 6-1, in number one singles, and Hatton bested Gan-Dy 6-2, 6-2 in second position singles.

Kacper Piekarek (Wroclaw, Poland/Autorskrie Licea Artystyczne Akademickie/Missouri-Kansas City) won the number three singles match against Markusic, and Miller defeated Ramos 6-2, 6-4 in the fourth position match.

James Howard claimed a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Modi in number five singles, and Xavier Branagan (Wollstonecraft, Australia/St. Aloysius' College) registered a 6-4, 6-0 win in the sixth position.

The Le Moyne College men's tennis team will travel to Sparkill, New York on Sunday for a 11:00 a.m. match against Saint Thomas Aquinas.
