Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior midfielder Sam Lambert (Victor, N.Y./Victor) has earned Le Moyne College Play of the Week honors, presented by Sodexo, for his goal in the fourth-ranked men's lacrosse team's win over Adelphi University on Sunday in the NCAA Championship quarterfinals.

After receiving a pass on the left side of the field, Lambert cut across the middle of the field before encountering an Adelphi defender. He cut towards the endline, causing the defender to stumble before cutting back towards the middle of the field. With the defender now behind him, Lambert was able to take a few more steps in the open field before firing a shot into the upper left corner of the net at the 4:44 mark of the third quarter for his fifth goal of the season, which put the Dolphins up 8-4 en route to a 9-4 victory.

Le Moyne (16-3) is back in action on Sunday in the NCAA semifinals against top-seeded Mercy College on the campus of Purchase College at 1:00 p.m.
