Rochester, N.Y. – Le Moyne College women's and men's cross-country teams traveled to Roberts Wesleyan today to compete in the Harry F. Anderson Invitational with the women placing seventh overall and men placing ninth overall. Redshirt sophomore Sophia Bisognano (Albany N.Y./Colonie) placed 37th to lead the women to a seventh-place finish. Redshirt sophomore Nick Berg (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) finished 57th to guide the men's team to a ninth-place finish.
 
Geneseo won the men's eight-kilometer course with 24 points with five of the top nine finishers, followed in second place by Cortland with 97 points and in third place was Roberts Wesleyan with 110 points. Le Moyne placed ninth with 277 points. Ryan Cord of Cortland placed first with a time of 24:50.9.
 
Berg finished 57th overall with a time of 27:35.6, followed by sophomore Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy) finishing 76th with a time of 28:21.2. Senior Maxwell Serling (Rochester, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) finished 88th with a time of 28:41.1, sophomore Evan Breitbeck (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) finished 99th with a time of 29:25.6. Freshman Adin Potter (Taberg, N.Y./Camden Central) rounded out the team's scorers with a time of 29:45.5 to place 105th.
 
For the women, Geneseo took the win for the five-kilometer course with 15 points with the top nine finishers, Roberts Wesleyan placed second with 75 points and Saint Bonaventure placed third with 83 points. Le Moyne placed seventh with 190 points. Kathleen McCarey finished first in a time of 17:30.9.
 
Bisognano led the Dolphins finishing in 37th with a time of 19:58.7. Sophomore Anita Jepchirchir (Eldoret, Kenya) placed 50th with a time of 20:19.4 and freshman Emma Gepfert (Albany, N.Y./Colonie) placed 53rd with a time of 20:23.5. Sophomore Hilda Kiprono (Eldoret, Kenya/Kapsabet Girls High School) placed 64th with a time of 20:36.7. Senior Maggie Casey (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) was the team's fifth scorer with a time of 20:41.5 to place 67th.
 
The Dolphins will be traveling to Clinton for the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday, October 8th with a start time at 11:00 AM.
