Brockport, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's indoor track and field teams made their way to Brockport for the Welcome Back to Brockport Meet on Saturday at the Special Events Recreation Center.
"We had a good day today at Brockport," said head coach
Robin Wheeless. "There was lots of talent there and quite a few Dolphins had breakthrough days. Some were trying new events and others were just ready to run a fast race. We've been working hard, I can see their confidence growing. We added quite a few names to the conference rankings and that's important. We're halfway through our regular season and I want as many Le Moyne athletes as possible competing at the Conference Championship on February 16th and 17th."
Freshman
Lilly Capria (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed first in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 2.5-inches. She was followed by classmate
Abigail Seaman (South Glens Falls), who placed sixth with 4-feet, 10.5-inches.
Seaman finished second in the triple jump with 34-feet, 8.5-inches.
Redshirt sophomore
Sophia Bisognano (Albany, N.Y./Colonie) led Le Moyne on the track by placing fifth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:40.50. Senior
Maggie Casey (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) placed seventh with a time of 20:04.56, while sophomore
Anita Jepchirchir (Eldoret, Kenya) finished 10th with a time of 20:37.24 and was directly followed by sophomore
Hilda Kiprono (Eldoret, Kenya/Kapsabet Girls High School) finishing 11th with a time of 20:55.64.
Senior
Cleo Baker (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) finished sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.51.
Redshirt sophomore
Madison Kozyra (Marcy, N.Y./Whitesboro) placed seventh in the weight throw with a mark of 44-feet, 4.75-inches. She also placed 17th in the shot put with a distance of 33-feet, 6.5-inches.
The quartet of Baker, senior
Catherine Durant (Arverne, N.Y./Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School), sophomore
Chelsea Dennison (Cato, N.Y.) and senior
Shaina Smith (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) placed 10th in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:38.23
Durant finished 14th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.81.
Dennison finished 16th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.26.
Smith finished 18th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.58, followed by Durant placing 21st with a time of 28.63 and Baker placing 23rd with a time 28.69.

Christian Carlin-Saracene (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed second in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:31.87.
For the 5000-meter run, junior
Matt Bartolotta (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) finished second with a time of 16:15.13, directly followed by senior
Matthew Sinnenberg (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), who finished third with a time of 16:21.73, junior
Jeremy Plumley (Camden, N.Y./Camden), who finished fourth with a time of 16:41.74, and sophomore
Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy), who finished fifth with a time of 16:54.70.
Connor Scott placed seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.31 followed by his twin brother Brandon placing 13th with a time of 23.59.
Carlin-Saracene placed seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.60 seconds.

Nolan Hillhouse (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) placed 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 40-feet, 11.5-inches. He also placed 23rd in the long jump with a distance of 19-feet, 7-inches.
Senior
Nicolas Hafner (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) finished 11th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.16 seconds. He also placed 12th in the high jump at 5-feet, 9.254-inches and 16th in the long jump with a mark of 20-feet, 2.5-inches.
Sophomore
Evan Breitbeck (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) finished twenty-third in the one-mile run with a time of 4:40.47.
Junior
Brandon Laribee (Rome, N.Y/Rome Free Academy) finished 23rd in the shot put with a toss of 35-feet, 5.75-inchees and 26th in the weight throw with a distance of 33-feet, 4.5-inches.
Junior
Spencer Zeltmann (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) finished 25h in the long jump with a leap of 19-feet, 6.75-inches.
Hirsch finished 29th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.86.
The men's and women's track teams will compete next at The Blue & Orange Invitational and Multi at the Hutton Sports & Recreation Center in Utica on Saturday.
