Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College baseball team (23-15, 8-4 NE10) will play their final home games of the 2023 regular season this Thursday and Friday against the Adelphi University Panthers (17-21, 4-8 NE10). The four-game Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division series will begin with a doubleheader on Thursday at 12:00 p.m., then the two sides will reconvene at Dick Rockwell Field on Friday for another doubleheader at 12:00 and 3:00 p.m.
Prior to Friday's doubleheader, the Le Moyne baseball team will celebrate Senior Day on Dick Rockwell Field to honor the graduating class and their continued dedication to the program.
The Dolphins are coming off back-to-back NE10 sweeps over Saint Rose and Pace, which improved their conference resume to 8-4, good for second place in the division behind Southern Connecticut State (27-9, 10-2 NE10).
The Le Moyne pitching staff shined during the Pace sweep, holding the Setters, who were ranked No. 5 in the April 19 NCBWA East Region Poll, to just four walks and seven runs during the 32 combined innings.

Max Parker (9.0 IP, 5Ks, 3 earned runs) and senior right-hander
Sam DiGeorge (7.0 IP, 6Ks, 0 walks, 2 earned runs, 5 hits) both threw complete games on Friday in Pleasantville, then sophomore left-hander
Jacob Crystal (6.0 IP, 1 earned run, zero walks) and freshman righty
AJ Petraitis (7.0 IP, 5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, 2Ks) both delivered quality starts on Saturday as the Dolphins extended their winning streak to eight games.
Parker, DiGeorge, Crystal and Petraitis each have two NE10 wins now this season for the 'Phins. DiGeorge and Crystal each hold a 4-1 record on the year, and DiGeorge lowered his ERA to a team-best 1.49 following his start on Friday. Parkers has tallied a team-high 44 strikeouts, while DiGeorge is holding opposing hitters to a .204 batting average. Through 16.2 innings pitched for DiGeorge in three NE10 appearances, the senior right-hander has established a .169 opponent batting average. Parker has allowed just three earned runs through 23.0 innings pitched during NE10 play, good for a 1.17 conference ERA.

Swiencicki relieved Crystal and tossed a scoreless top of the seventh against the Setters during game one to secure a 3-1 Le Moyne win and earn his third save of the season.
After providing a team-best nine RBI at home during the Saint Rose sweep, freshman left fielder/third baseman
Adam Sullivan (Syracuse, N.Y./Marcellus) delivered a team-high seven RBI during the four wins at Pace. Sullivan leads the team with 18 runs batted in during conference play, which is tied for the fifth-highest total in the NE10. Sullivan tallied two hits and four RBI during game one against Pace and delivered a hit during all four contests of the series to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. Through 21 starts in his rookie campaign, Sullivan is slashing .352/.432/.634. He and fellow freshman
Brody Keneston (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) have both provided 28 total RBI in 2023.
Sophomore right fielder
Wyatt Patchett (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) leads Le Moyne in home runs and is tied for fourth in the league with nine long balls so far in 2023. Patchett, who also has 11 doubles to his name, currently has a team-high .647 slugging percentage to go along with a .328 batting average and a team-best .474 on-base percentage with the help of 21 walks and 12 hit by pitches. Patchett also leads the team with 37 runs scored.

Dewey Roden (Sherrill, N.Y./Vernon-Verona-Sherrill/UMass Lowell) have both accumulated a team-high 32 RBI this season, while Roden and graduate second baseman
Drew Carroll (Clifton Park, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy (Albany)) both have a team-high 40 hits so far in 2023.
Carroll, one of two players on the Le Moyne roster to have started all 38 games so far this year (Patchett being the other, while Roden has appeared in all 38 games with 37 starts) leads the Dolphins in doubles (12) and stolen bases (15) to go along with 24 runs, 24 walks, 16 RBI, four sacrifice flies and two home runs.
Senior center fielder
Zach Brush (New York Mills. N.Y./Utica Notre Dame) leads the team with 28 walks drawn to go along with 29 runs, 10 extra-base hits and eight stolen bases.
Junior outfielder
Jason Boule (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse)) came up big for the 'Phins on Saturday in Pleasantville, providing a combined two doubles, one single, two runs scored and an RBI during the final two games of the four-game conference series.
Sophomore catcher
Benji Ries (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) is swinging a hot bat during conference play. Through nine NE10 starts at catcher or designated hitter, Ries is slashing .464/.500/.643 with two doubles, a home run and nine RBI. Prior to the start of conference play, Ries delivered a walk-off RBI-double during game four of Le Moyne's non-conference series against Franklin Pierce University to help the 'Phins complete a sweep of the then-nationally ranked Ravens.
The recent string of strong performances from members of the Le Moyne pitching staff have been aided by some stellar defense from the veteran-laiden Dolphins.

Nick Nevins (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) and graduate second baseman
Drew Carroll has made a combined four errors in 102 chances through 12 conference games. Nevins has a team-high 38 assists in conference play.
The Panthers of Adelphi lost three of four games against Pace during their most recent NE10 Conference series on April 7/8. Prior to that they split their four-game series with Saint Rose after opening conference play with three losses and one win during their series at New Haven.
Adelphi senior catcher Alec Maag is third in the NE10 in batting average and leads the Panthers with a slash line of .394/.491/.628. Maag has provided 15 extra-base hits, 18 walks and 19 RBI, while senior first baseman Michael Draskin has tallied 16 extra-base hits (including four home runs) and 24 RBI. Graduate left fielder Kyle Olson leads the Panthers in runs (31) and runs batted in (29) with a .339 batting average.
Freshman right-handed pitcher Brendan Kenneally has earned a team-best four wins for the Panthers through nine appearances, including seven starts, in 2023.
Sophomore right-hander John Rizzo is 3-3 in a team-high 50.0 innings pitched, while graduate righty Coleton Reitan has a team-best 2.49 earned run average in 11 appearances out of the bullpen.
After the Adelphi series, The Dolphins will travel to West Haven, Connecticut, for their regular season finale four-game series at University of New Haven.
