Smithfield, R.I. – The Le Moyne College volleyball team finished their weekend on the road with a match at Bryant University today.

Susan Kim. There's definitely a positive change within the team. Not to say we don't have things to work on. We have a lot of things we still need to clean up but we are progressing. We moved the bar up higher today. I'm excited to get back in the gym tomorrow to continue our growth."
The Dolphins came out strong taking the first set 25-22, but ultimately fell to the Bulldogs in the end. The Bulldogs took the second set 25-15, the third set 25-10 and the fourth set 25-15 to win the match 3-1 over the Dolphin's.
For the Dolphins, senior outside hitter
Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y. / Wallkill) led the team with seven kills, six digs and one assist. Sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) followed with six kills and junior outside hitter
Emily La Ruffa (Rock Hill, N.Y. / Monticello) had three kills and two assists. Sophomore setter
Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) recorded 19 assists, and two digs. Junior libero/DS
Ella Katz (Burnt Hills, N.Y. / Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake) had eight digs.
For the Bulldogs, Arianna Ugolini had 17 kills, and eight digs. Aubrey Lapour and Brookelyn both had 11 kills. Carolina Camacho had 25 assists, and 10 digs. Melis Isik had 14 assists, and Josie Deluga had nine assists, and 19 digs.
The Dolphins next match will be their home opener on Friday, September 29
th at 5:00pm against LIU at Ted Grant Court - Syracuse, N.Y.
