Chicago, IL. - The Le Moyne College women's soccer team earned a draw at Chicago State on Sunday.
Le Moyne entered the match following a 6-0 win against Delaware State on Thursday, and hoped the momentum would carry into Sunday's contest. Chicago State looked to turn it around following a 1-4 loss to LIU last Sunday.
The Dolphins fielded the same starting lineup as they did on Thursday, as junior defender
Jasmina Barhoumi (Worms, Germany/Nelly Sachs-IGS/D'Youville) and sophomore midfielder
Giovanna Vigliotti (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) both made their 15
th appearance in the starting XI in fifteen games.
Senior midfielder
Danielle Casey (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) started the game quickly for the 'Phins, registering the first shot of the game after just 37 seconds of play. Senior forward
Brooke Wilson (Rochester, N.Y./Hilton) and junior forward
Courtney Felton (Rochester, N.Y./Penfield/Roberts Wesleyan) added two more shots looking to find the opening goal for Le Moyne, but were off target.
Graduate student midfielder Barbara Castellanos fired a shot from distance for Chicago State that sailed over the head of freshman goalkeeper
Mikayla McPheron (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) and out for a goal kick.
The Windy City lived up to its nickname, as the 22 MPH winds were clearly a factor for both teams, as the wind carried the ball throughout the game.

Logan Cookinham (Poland, N.Y./Poland) was the first one off the bench for Le Moyne, entering the game in the 18
th minute and making her 14
th appearance of the season. Junior midfielder/defender
Lindsey LeBlanc (Westminister, Mass./St. Bernard's) recorded a shot 30 seconds after the substitution, not troubling the senior goalkeeper for Chicago State Jay Arballo.
Freshman forward
Nicole Calle (Providence, R.I./Cumberland) registered her first shot of the game in the 33
rd minute as the Dolphins were still looking for their breakthrough goal. Sophomore midfielder
Kyla Sustad (Willet, N.Y./Cincinnatus/Merrimack) was joined by classmate defender
Maria Komala (Warsaw, Poland/Notre Dame College) with ten minutes remaining in the 1

Jenicah Brown (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland/Cazenovia) entered the game in the remaining three minutes of play as the two teams went into the break tied at 0-0.
Chicago State registered the first shot of the 2nd hal in the 54
th minute, as senior forward Hannah Bennet took a shot from the 18-yard box with her left foot resulting in a goal kick for Le Moyne. The wind continued to be a factor for both teams as they were unable to get a shot on goal.
The Cougars earned a free kick in the 71
st minute that was taken quickly, finding the feet of Castellanos. Within a few touches, she fired off a shot from roughly 25 yards out, finding the top corner of the Dolphin net.Â

Gabriella Sylstra (Little Falls, N.Y./Little Falls/Richard Bland/Old Dominion), shooting from 20 yards out just over the crossbar of the Cougars.
Two minutes later, the Dolphins got to the end of a loose ball as Vigliotti played Casey in behind the defense, taking a shot that was saved by Arballo. The rebound was collected by Vigliotti, crossing a ball into the box that was met by Wilson, who was nudged in the back by a Cougar defender. Without hesitation, Sylstra stepped up to take the penalty, calmly putting it away into the bottom left corner to bring the Dolphins back level.
Senior defender/midfielder
Katelyn Courcy (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) recorded the final shot of the game in the 85
th minute of play, resulting in a goal kick for the Cougars. Senior midfielder Trinity Babcock was given the only yellow card of the match with 20 seconds left in the game for kicking the ball away as Le Moyne were set to take a free kick. The game ended as both teams walk away with a point earned.
Le Moyne will be back home at Ted Grant Field on Thursday at 3:00 P.M. against the Red Flash of Saint Francis. The match will be the second to last home game of the season for the Dolphins.
