Lewisburg, Pa. – Jaz Zanelli registered 18 saves to lead Bucknell University to a 7-5 victory over the Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team on Friday night at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
The Bison opened the game with the first three goals over the initial eight minutes. Following almost five minutes of scoreless action to start the game, Connor Davis tallied his 29th goal of the season after taking a pass from Michael Meyer. Just 31 seconds later, Davis scored again after taking a pass from Hans Huber. Sean Berrigan tallied his seventh goal of the year with 7:16 left in the quarter.

Ethan Loun (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) tallied his 17th goal of the season after receiving a pass from graduate student midfielder

Zack Crosby (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) scored the only goal of the second quarter at the 12:13 after collecting a loose ball and whipping a shot behind his back for his first goal of the season.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net the remainder of the quarter.
Berrigan pushed Bucknell's lead to two with his eighth goal of the campaign off a dish from Davis with 6:31 left in the third quarter. The goal snapped a drought by the Bison of 30:45. Less than 90 seconds later, Peter Grandolfo recorded his 10th goal of the season. Huber made it 6-2 with 1:32 left in the half with his 11th goal of the year.
The Bison won the ensuing faceoff, but turned the ball over with 10.5 seconds left in the right corner. Le Moyne whipped the ball up field, where it made its way into the stick of freshman short-stick defensive midfielder
AJ DeMeo (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland), who put a shot on goal and had it rejected by Zanelli. Senior attackman
Joey Pezzimenti (Victor, N.Y./Victor/UAlbany) caught the rebound on the left edge of the crease and dumped it into the net for his ninth goal of the season with just 0.5 seconds left.
Following 13 minutes of scoreless action to start the fourth quarter, Grandolfo scored from the left side of the crease after catching a pass from Henry Boykin with 1:58 remaining.
After winning the ensuing faceoff and calling timeout, Le Moyne cut its deficit back to three. Off a pass from the top of the box from senior midfielder
Kyle Caves (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool), Crosby sent a side-armed shot into the left side of the goal with 1:40 to play. Following two empty possessions by each team, Loun tallied his team-best 28th goal of the season with 28 seconds left.

Carter Ruhm (Apalachin, N.Y./Vestal/Bridgton Academy/Robert Morris) nine saves in the setback, including five in the fourth quarter. Zanelli had at least five saves in each of the final three quarters, including six in the third quarter.
