Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College baseball team earned a 9-4 win over the Niagara University Purple Eagles on Tuesday at Dick Rockwell Field. All nine players in Le Moyne's lineup scored a run during the non-conference win
"(Dewey) Roden was terrific and in command all day," said Le Moyne head coach
Scott Cassidy '98. "Then we got great relief work from Max (Danaher) and Billy (Hoffacker). Everyone contributed today. It was a great example of a team win."

Dewey Roden (Sherrill, N.Y./Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) registered his second win of the season after tallying seven strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work. Lefty
Max Danaher (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) tossed 1.2 innings in relief, then right-hander
Billy Hoffacker (Erial, N.J./Timber Creek/Rowan College of South Jersey) recorded his first save of the season after getting the final seven outs for the Dolphins.
Shortstop
Nick Nevins (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) and designated hitter
Wyatt Patchett (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) both launched a home run against the Purple Eagles. Nevins' two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning was his third long ball of the season, while Patchett's solo shot in the seventh gave him four home runs on the year.

Lukas Egenhauser (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern) provided two RBIs each, while center fielder
Zach Brush (New York Mills, N.Y./Utica Notre Dame), first baseman
Brody Keneston (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) and Nevins contributed two hits, one run and one RBI each.
Freshman catcher
Cooper Romich (North Chili, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) recorded his first career hit with a double in the bottom of the sixth, then he scored his first career run later in the inning on Egenhauser's two-RBI single.
For Niagara, which entered the contest at the top of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Standings with a 22-9 overall record, including 9-0 against MAAC opponents, first baseman Eric Rataczak, third baseman Rees Kozar and left fielder Jake Hutchins each recorded two hits during the setback, while second baseman Vincent Mauro recorded a team-high two RBIs with a single through the left side in the top of the seventh that cut Niagara's deficit to 6-4.
Patchett's home run in the seventh made it 7-4 in favor of the Dolphins, then Le Moyne added its final two runs in the bottom of the eighth with the help of an RBI single from Brush.
Tuesday marked the 98
th all-time meeting between Le Moyne and Niagara, and the first since 2008. Le Moyne improved its record to 75-23 against the Purple Eagles.
The Dolphins are now 2-2 in midweek non-conference games this season, and hold a 6-1 record at Dick Rockwell Field.
Le Moyne will return to action this weekend with a three-game Northeast Conference series at Wagner College beginning on Friday at 3 p.m.
