Davidson, N.C. – Junior
Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) tied for seventh place as the Le Moyne College men's golf team placed 11th at the River Run Collegiate hosted by Davidson College on Monday and Tuesday at the par-72 River Run Country Club.
The host Wildcats won the team competition by 11 strokes with a five-over par 581 following rounds of 299 and six-under par 282. The University of Delaware was second with a 592 off scores of 298 and 294. Loyola-Chicago placed third with a 593 after rounds of 293 and 300. The Dolphins turned in rounds of 313 and 305 to place 11th with a total of 618. Davidson's Joshua Stewart earned medalist honors with a four-under par 140 off rounds of even-par 72 and four-under par 68.
Maglisco finished in a seven-way tie for 17th in the 66-member field with a 149, which included five birdies and 23 pars. He opened the invitational with a one-over par 73, which featured four birdies and 10 pars. He then carded a 76 on Tuesday, which included one birdie and 13 pars.
Sophomore
Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) landed in a five-way tie for 31st place with a 151, which featured three birdies and 26 pars. He registered a 79, which included one birdie and 12 pars, in the first round. He followed with an even-par 72, which featured two birdies and 14 pars, in the second round.
Freshman
Jacob Moody (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) recorded a 156, which included four birdies and 19 pars, to tie for 49th place. He posted two birdies and 10 pars on his way to a 77 in the opening round. He then posted a 79, which included two birdies and nine pars, on Tuesday.
Freshman
Mike Maslanka (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) placed 64th with a 164, which featured 18 pars. He registered an 84, including one birdie and seven pars, in the first round and an 80 on the second day, which featured 11 pars.
Freshman
Mac Quinn (Glenwood, N.Y./Canisius HS) finished with a 166, which included 19 pars, to place 65th. He carded an 88, including seven pars, in the opening round and came back with a 78 in the second round, which included 12 pars.
The Dolphins return to action with a dual match against Niagara University on Sunday at Oak Hill Country Club's East Course in Rochester.
