Rochester, N.Y. – Sophomore
Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) placed third to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team against Niagara University on Sunday afternoon at the famed par-70, 6995-yard Oak Hill Country Club East Course.
The Purple Eagles won the matchup with a score of 303, while the Dolphins totaled a 313.
Corby registered one birdie and 12 pars en route to a 75 to place third. Freshman
George Green (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) tallied a 76 in his collegiate debut following two birdies and nine pars to place fourth. Junior
Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) placed sixth with a 78 after posting 12 pars. Senior
Peter Hatton (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) recorded two birdies and four pars to place 11th with an 84, while freshman
Miles Tauzin-Fox (Los Angeles, Calif./New West Charter School) rounded out the team's lineup with an 85, which included seven pars.
Niagara got a 72 from Ben Herbert, a 74 from Alfredo Migliorini, a 77 from Carlos Hernandez, an 80 from Ian Kozlowsky and an 82 from Andres Rodriguez.
The Dolphins are back in action on Saturday for the first two rounds of the 54-hole Autumn Invitational hosted by Columbia University at the Lake Placid Club Links Course in Lake Placid, N.Y.
