Hamilton, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's golf team was in 13th place following the first round of the Alex Lagowitz Invitational hosted by Colgate University on Saturday at the par-72, 7125-yard Seven Oaks Golf Course. The Dolphins had climbed into a tie for 11th place when the second round was suspended due to darkness.
St. Joseph's University was in first place after the opening holes with a five-under par 283. Lehigh University was two shots behind with a three-under par 285, while Bucknell was in third with a two-under par 286. Le Moyne posted a 303 to land in 13th place in the 14-team field. Lehigh's Noah Zyung was the individual leader after registering a four-under par 68.
Senior
Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and junior
Carter Mizro (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) were part of an eight-way tie for 41st place after turning in 75s. Maglisco had three birdies and nine pars, while Mizro had two birdies and 12 pars.
Sophomore
George Green (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) was in a nine-way tie for 49th place following a 76, which featured one birdie and 12 pars.
Junior
Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) and freshman
Jacob Olearczyk (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent) were part of a 10-way tie for 58th place at 77. Corby had two birdies and 10 pars, while Olearczyk had 13 pars.
Sophomore
Mike Maslanka (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) was in a three-way tie for 75th place at 79, which included one birdie and nine pars.
The second round will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday and the third round will immediately follow.
