Annapolis, Md. – Senior
Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) tied for 37th place to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team at The Goat on Saturday and Sunday at the par-71, 6970-yard United States Naval Academy Golf Course.
Loyola Maryland won the team title with a six-over par 858 following rounds of 289, even-par 284 and one-over par 285. The host Midshipmen finished second with an 863 after scores of 287, 291 and 285. Seton Hall was third with a total of 866 off rounds of 284, 290 and 292. The Dolphins tallied a 928 (318-307-303) to place 16th. Navy's Jack Tarzy earned medalist honors with an eight-under par 205 following scores of five-under 66, even-par 71 and three-under 68.
Maglisco finished in a seven-way tie for 37th with a 224, which included four birdies and 37 pars. He opened with a 74, which featured two birdies and 12 pars, to land in a seven-way tie for 25th place. He followed with a 73, including two more birdies and 12 more pars, to move into a nine-way tie for 22nd. He closed out the event with a 77, which featured 13 pars, to slip into the tie for 37th.
Sophomore
Jacob Moody (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) landed in a three-way tie for 62nd with a total of 230, which featured five birdies and 31 pars. He posted an 81, which included one birdie and nine pars, in the first round to land in a five-way tie for 71st place. He moved up to a six-way tie for 69th with a 76 in the second round, which featured a pair of birdies and nine pars. He jumped seven spots on Sunday with a 73, which included two birdies and 13 pars.
Sophomore
George Green (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) finished in a five-way tie for 71st place with a total of 233, which included seven birdies and 27 pars. He had an 82 in the first round, including one birdie and 10 pars, to finish in a six-way tie for 76th. He carded a 77 in the afternoon, which featured two birdies and nine pars, to dip into a tie for 77th. He moved up six places after registering a 74 in the final round, which included four birdies and eight pars.
Sophomore
Mike Maslanka (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) tied for 81st place at 242, which featured two birdies and 27 pars. He registered an 81 in the first round, which included two birdies and eight pars, to finish in the five-way tie for 71st with Moody. He had an 82 in the second round, featuring eight more pars, to end the day in a three-way tie for 82nd. He capped the weekend with a 79, which included 11 pars.
Junior
Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) tied for 83rd place with a score of 243, which included two birdies and 32 pars. He carded an 82 in the first round, featuring one birdie and nine pars, to land in the six-way tie for 76th with Green. He posted an 81 in the afternoon round, including 10 pars, to close the day in the three-way tie for 82nd. He turned in an 80 on Sunday, which featured one birdie and 13 pars.
The Dolphins are back on the course at the Columbia University Autumn Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Lake Placid Club in Lake Placid, N.Y.
