Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's soccer team (2-1-1) recorded a 2-2 draw against the visiting University of Delaware Blue Hens (3-1-1) on Saturday at Ted Grant Field.

Jack Goodrich (Kelsall, England/King's School Chester) scored a penalty kick goal for the second consecutive game, and redshirt-junior forward
Jakob Priestman (Leek, England/Westwood/Missouri State) scored his first goal of the season on a long free kick.
Le Moyne outshot the Blue Hens by a tally of 10-9, and had the advantage in corner kicks, 6-2.
In the 27
th minute of the match, a handball was called against Delaware inside its own penalty area, setting up a PK opportunity for the Dolphins. Goodrich stepped up to take the kick, and placed his shot into the bottom left corner of the goal to give the Dolphins a 1-0 lead, and record his second goal of the season.
Le Moyne took its 1-0 lead into halftime, then with 30:17 remaining in the second half, a foul was called against the Dolphins just outside of their penalty area. Graduate forward Justin Ruth took the free kick for Delaware, and curled a right-footed shot into the top left corner of the Le Moyne goal to tie the game at 1-1.
Less than seven minutes later, the Dolphins earned a free kick of their own in the left side of their attacking third. From about 25 yards out, Priestman took the set piece and drove a right-footed shot towards goal that dipped inside the upper left corner of the goal frame and hit the back of the net to once again put Le Moyne in front, 2-1.
The Blue Hens responded in the 79
th minute when sophomore midfielder Rich Monath received a pass in the left side of the Le Moyne penalty area, made a move towards the six-yard box and slotted a right-footed shot into the right side netting of the goal.

Maximilian Huss (Karben, Germany/Elly-Heuss-Schule) recorded the only shot on goal for either side during the final 10 minutes of the match.
Le Moyne and Delaware also played to a 2-2 draw at Delaware's Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium in the first-ever meeting between the two programs during the 2023 season.
The Le Moyne men's soccer team will return to action on Wednesday when they host Saint Peter's at 4:00 p.m.
