CLAY, SCOTT SWEEP NEC SWIM & DIVE WEEKLY AWARDS

Syracuse, N.Y. – Freshman swimmer Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) and junior diver Patrick Scott (Utica, N.Y. / New Hartford / Niagara) have been named Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Swimming and Diving Weekly Award winners for their performances during Le Moyne's home meet against Niagara University on Saturday, Jan. 25. This marks the first time the Dolphins have swept the conference award categories during the 2024-25 season.

Clay was named both the NEC Men's Swimmer of the Week and Rookie of the Week, along with being a Prime Performer, after breaking multiple records during the meet. Clay set a program record in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in second with a time of 56.29, as well as a pool record in the 200-yard breaststroke in which he claimed the top spot with a time of 2:04.17. Both of the marks bested records Clay previously set earlier this season. The freshman also claimed first place as part of the 200-yard medley relay (1:33.49 final time) and second in the 200-yard IM (1:55.06) against the Purple Eagles.

Scott was named the NEC Men's Diver of the Week for the second time this season after earning first place in both one-meter dive events on Saturday. Scott racked up 252.20 and 160.00 points in the two events, respectively.

Both Clay and Scott, along with freshman Alex Pilieci (Ottawa, O.N./John McCrae), were named NEC Prime Performers for the meet, as well.

Looking forward, the Dolphins will host Cornell University at Nottingham High School this coming Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1:00 p.m.
