MEN’S GOLF PLACES SIXTH AT CRUSADER INVITATIONAL TO CLOSE OUT FALL SEASON

Worcester, Mass. – Senior Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) registered his fourth straight top-10 finish to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team to a sixth-place finish at the Crusader Invitational hosted by Holy Cross at the par-70, 6723-yard Worcester Country Club.

Siena University won the team title with a 36-hole total of 564 following rounds of 288 and four-under 276. Bryant University placed second with a 571 after scores of 283 and 288. Binghamton University came in third at 578 off rounds of 287 and 291. The Dolphins finished at 585 following scores of 287 and 298 to place sixth. Siena's Michael McConie claimed medalist honors with a four-under total of 136 after rounds of three-under 67 and one-under 69.

Maglisco finished in a three-way tie for 10th in the field of 67 competitors with a two-day total of 143, which included one eagle, three birdies and 25 pars. He carded a 72 in the first round, featuring an eagle on his first hole, one birdie and 12 pars, to land in a five-way tie for 15th. He jumped five places on Tuesday with a 71, which included two birdies and 13 pars. Maglisco finished in the top-10 for the fourth consecutive event, becoming the first Dolphin to do so since Jonathan Petrin '20 did so at four straight events in Fall 2019. He ends the Fall semester a 71.94 scoring average, which eclipses the previous best Fall average of 72.27 set by John Clare '17 during Fall 2015.

Sophomore George Green (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) landed in a five-way tie for 31st place with a 148, featuring seven birdies and 16 pars. He tallied a 73 over the first 18 holes, including three birdies and nine pars, to end in a 10-way tie for 20th. He followed with a 75 on Tuesday, featuring four birdies and seven pars.

Sophomore Miles Tauzin-Fox (Los Angeles, Calif./New West Charter School) recorded a 149, including three birdies and 23 pars, to finish in a six-way tie for 36th. He joined Maglisco in the first-round tie for 15th with a 72, which featured three birdies and 10 pars. He tallied a 77 in the second round, including 13 pars.

Sophomore Tyler Stark (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) ended the event in a six-way tie for 47th with a 152, which featured five birdies and 16 pars. He opened with an even-par 70, including four birdies and 10 pars, to end the first round in a four-way tie for seventh. In the second round, he carded an 82, featuring one birdie and six pars.

Sophomore Jacob Moody (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) tied for 53rd with a 153, which included four birdies and 17 pars. He recorded a 78 in the first round, featuring two birdies and eight pars, to land in a three-way tie for 59th. He moved up six spots on Tuesday with a 75, including two birdies and nine pars.

Freshman Jacob Olearczyk (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent), who played as an individual, joined Stark in the tie for 47th at 152, featuring two birdies and 21 pars. He was part of the 10-way tie for 20th with Green after posting a 73, which included one birdie and 13 pars. He closed out the event with a 79, which featured one birdie and eight pars.

The Dolphins return to action in the Spring semester at Binghamton University's Carpetbagger Classic on March 21 and 22 at Worthington Manor Golf Club in Urbana, Maryland.
