Syracuse, N.Y. – Freshman Carlo Zucchini (Varese, Italy/European School of Varese) of the men's tennis team has been named the Le Moyne Athlete of the Week, presented by CADimensions Inc.
 
Zucchini won a singles draw and teamed up to win a doubles draw to lead the Le Moyne College men's tennis team at the Colgate Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the J.W. Abrahamson Tennis Courts.
 
Carlo opened his account with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Witt Bulger of Colgate. He followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Colgate's Jerome Falcon in the semifinals. In the final match, he was leading Colgate's Aidan Lee, 6-4, 1-0, when Lee retired.
 
The Dolphins return to action in the Spring semester with their dual match schedule.
