St. Bonaventure, N.Y. – Frank Mitchell recorded 21 points to lead St. Bonaventure University to a 92-81 come-from-behind win over the Le Moyne College men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon at the Reilly Center.

Shilo Jackson (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central/Vincennes/Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) led all scorers with a career-best 25 points, 15 of which came in the second half, while grabbing six rebounds and blocking three shots. Redshirt sophomore guard

Jakai Sanders (Brooklyn, N.Y./Eagle Academy/Saint Peter's) recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and a single-game program-record 16 assists. The previous record of 15 assists was set by Rob Thorpe '04 on November 22, 2002 in a 98-86 victory against Alderson-Broaddus. Sanders' assist total is the highest by an NEC player since Sacred Heart's Cameron Parker had 24 against now-defunct Pine Manor College on December 1, 2019 and are the most assists by an NEC player against a Division I opponent since Parker had 16 against Quinnipiac on November 24, 2019.
Mitchell tallied 14 of his points in the second half, while adding nine rebounds and three assists. Dasonte Bowen turned in 10 of his 15 points in the second half, five rebounds and four assists. Daniel Egbuniwe registered 14 points off the bench, including nine in the second half. Cayden Charles and Darryl Simmons II each posted 12 points, while Charles grabbed 10 rebounds. Joseph Grahovic recorded 11 first-half points.
St. Bonaventure jumped out to a 17-8 lead through the first five minutes after connecting on five three-pointers before getting a lay-up from Grahovic.
Following a pair of Le Moyne baskets around two free throws by the Bonnies, Ilia Ermakov gave St. Bonaventure its largest lead of the first half, 22-12, with a three-pointer with 12:40 to go.
Le Moyne answered with 16 of the next 21 points to take its first lead of the game. Five Dolphins scored in the span, led by five points from Garang, including a three-pointer for the lead, and four free throws from Sanders.
After the Bonnies scored the next three points for a 30-28 lead with 6:49 remaining, the Dolphins scored 12 of the next 13 points to take their largest lead of the half, 40-31, with 3:06 to go. Jackson scored six of the points, while sophomore guard
Jakob Blakley (Elgin, Ill./Walter Payton Preparatory) and Garang each drained three-pointers.
Egbuniwe scored the next five points to cut St. Bonaventure's deficit to four with 2:15 left in the half. The teams then traded baskets the remainder of the half as Le Moyne's lead was either five or seven points before settling at 47-42 at halftime.
Le Moyne scored eight of the first 10 points of the second half over just 71 seconds to open up its largest lead of the game, 55-44. Jackson scored the first five points before Blakley drilled a three-pointer in transition.
After Egbuniwe hit a three-pointer and Jackson countered with a dunk, St. Bonaventure rattled off 13 straight points to take the lead back. Bowen hit a three-pointer, Egbuniwe buried two more, Mitchell made two free throws for the lead and then had a put-back dunk with 14:54 left.
The Dolphins pulled within one on a pair of occasions, but the Bonnies posted six straight points for a 68-61 lead with 10:18 remaining. Amar'e Marshall made a three-pointer, Mitchell scored in the paint and then Bowen made a free throw.
Le Moyne responded with seven points in a row to tie the score. Sanders made a lay-up and then Garang drilled a three-pointer and hand a fast-break dunk to knot the score at 68 with 8:37 left.
Following ties at 70 and 72, St. Bonaventure took the lead for good with 12 consecutive points over 3:10. Bowen made consecutive lay-ups, Simmons II drained a three-pointer, Mitchell made two free throws and then had a conventional three-point play.
Jackson got the Dolphins back within eight with a pair of baskets off passes from Sanders, but Simmons II (4) and Bowen (2) connected on six straight free throws to give the Bonnies their largest lead of the game, 90-76, with 44 seconds left.

Trent Mosquera (Boston, Mass./Belmont Hill School) followed with a three-pointer off an assist from Sanders, who broke the assist record on the helper.
Simmons II and Sanders closed out the scoring with two points each in the final 34 seconds.
Le Moyne (5-7) concludes non-conference action on Sunday, December 28 at Boston College at 2:00 p.m.
