Thomas Berry (Tully, N.Y./Tully) scored the game-winning goal with 1:16 left as the Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team registered an 11-10 victory over Canisius University in its season opener on Tuesday afternoon at the Pinnacle Athletic Campus.

Nick Louise (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee), who fired in his fifth career goal at the 12:14 mark. Just over three minutes later, Berry tallied his first goal of the day after taking a feed from senior midfielder

Canisius got on the scoreboard four minutes later to cut its deficit in half as Carson Christy finished off a feed from Jordan Reed for his third goal of the season.

Ryan Eisenmann (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton) pushed Le Moyne's lead back to two with 3:39 remaining in the quarter.

Isaac Frechette (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) to give the Dolphins a 4-1 lead.
The Golden Griffins tallied the next three goals to knot the score at four apiece. Patrick Mitchell started the run at the 10:11 mark with his second goal of the season. Following a penalty enforced after the goal, Christy converted just 36 seconds into the extra-man situation after taking a pass from Kayden Easter. Mason Wolford evened the score at four with 6:08 left with his sixth goal of the campaign off a feed from Dylan Collins.
Le Moyne regained the lead with the final two goals of the half in a span of 12 seconds. Junior attackman
Owen Wilson (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) recorded his first goal of the contest with 4:51 left off a pass from Stanat. Off the ensuing faceoff, Louis scored his second of the game after collecting a dish from graduate student attackman

The Dolphins extended their run to four straight goals with the first two of the third quarter. Following nine and one-half minutes of scoreless play spanning the halftime break, Frechette fired in his first of the season after receiving a pass from Berry. Just over one minute later, Loun scored his 47th career goal from the edge of the crease.
Canisius scored the final goal of the quarter with 3:27 left as Christy netted his fifth goal of the year after taking a feed from Keelan Seneca in an extra-man opportunity.
For the fourth straight quarter, the Dolphins scored the first goal of the final quarter with 9:12 left as Wilson tallied his second goal of the game.
The Golden Griffins responded with four goals in 3:04 to tie the score at nine apiece. Wolford started the run at the 8:32 mark with his seventh goal of the season. Only 43 seconds later, Christy found the back of the net off a pass from Wolford. Reed made it a one-goal game 48 seconds later off a feed from Jaxon Fridge. Ben McGrath evened the score at nine with 5:28 left after picking up a loose ball and racing up field.
Wilson gave the lead back to the Dolphins with 3:52 left with his career-best third goal of the game after taking a pass from freshman midfielder

Fridge tied the score again 62 seconds later off a dish from Mitchell.
Canisius won the ensuing faceoff and Wolford was able to get a shot off, but it went wide and Le Moyne had the backup to gain possession.
Just over midway through the possession clock, Berry finished off a feed from Wilson with 1:16 left to give the Dolphins the eventual game-winning goal.
Le Moyne won the ensuing faceoff and was able to run almost one minute off the clock around a pair of timeouts before being forced out of bounds.
The Golden Griffins cleared the ball up the left side of the field and called timeout with five seconds left. Out of the timeout, Le Moyne dislodged the ball with three seconds left, but was called for a loose-ball push, giving the ball back to Canisius with two seconds left. The Golden Griffins were unable to get a shot off before time expired.
Le Moyne (1-0), which won its sixth straight season opener, is back in action on Sunday against Lafayette College at 1:00 p.m. The win marked the 370th under the direction of head coach
