Bridgewater, N.J. – Le Moyne College redshirt freshman guard Deng Garang (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) has been named the Northeast Conference/Atlantic Tomorrow's Office men's basketball Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
 
Garang, who was recognized for the second straight week, is the first Dolphin to earn multiple Rookie/Freshman of the Week honors since Chris Johnson '12 during the 2008-09 season. He was honored after averaging 14.0 points and 3.0 rebounds, while shooting 66.7 percent (10-of-15) from the field, including 50.0 percent (5-of-10) from three-point range, as the Dolphins went 0-2. He opened the week by scoring a career-high 20 points, which included going 4-of-8 from three-point range as part of an 8-of-12 shooting night, in an 81-76 overtime loss to Saint Francis on Thursday. He then registered eight points and four rebounds in a 76-61 setback to LIU on Saturday.

Garang averaged 14.5 points, 2.25 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.25 steals during Le Moyne's four-game homestand, while shooting 19-of-30 from the field and going 11-of-18 from three-point range.
 
Le Moyne (9-20, 4-10 NEC) begins the final week of the regular season on Thursday at regular season champion Central Connecticut State University at 7:00 p.m.
