Syracuse, N.Y. - Freshman infielder Tim Denet (West Harrison, N.Y./Iona Prep) has been named the Le Moyne Athlete of the Week, presented by CADimensions Inc.

During last week's three contests, Denet posted a .700 batting average with a 1.986 OPS and 1.200 slugging percentage, tallying seven hits, six runs, two walks, two doubles, a home run and four runs batted in.

Denet was also named the Northeast Conference Rookie and Co-Player of the week for his performances at Maryland Eastern Shore this past weekend. Denet is the first Dolphin to claim a baseball weekly award so far this season, and the first Le Moyne player to be named NEC Rookie & Player of the week in the same week.

The Le Moyne baseball team will return to action this weekend with a three-game non-conference series at UMass Lowell, with game one slated for Friday at 3:00 p.m.
