Delaney capped the scoring in the half with 4:04 remaining after taking a pass in the left alley from McDermott in an extra-man situation and blasting a shot into the back of the net for his team-best 12th goal of the year.
The teams alternated goals in the third quarter. Alex Van Voorhis started the scoring with his fifth goal of the year at the 12:27 mark off a feed in an extra-man situation from Xander Johnson. Crosby pushed the margin back to five with 11:01 left with a dodge down the left alley. Just over four minutes later, Jacob Lubrant scored his seventh goal of the year for the Vikings. Following almost 13 minutes of scoreless action to start the fourth quarter, the Vikings took advantage of an offside penalty on the Dolphins to score the final goal of the game as Lubrant finished off a feed from Van Voorhis.
Winger improved to 2-1 between the pipes after registering eight of his 16 saves in the final quarter. Justin Dalum made six saves in the loss for the Vikings.
