MEN’S GOLF IN 11TH PLACE AT BUCKEYE CLASSIC FOLLOWING FIRST DAY

Columbus, Ohio – Sophomore Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) is tied for sixth place to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team to 11th place following the first two rounds of the Buckeye Classic hosted by Ohio State University on Friday at the par-72, 7077-yard Columbus Country Club.

The University of Michigan leads the team standings with a 15-under par total of 561 off rounds of 283 and 278. Ohio State is second at 12-under par 564 following scores of 287 and 277. Miami (Ohio) is third at 11-under 565 after rounds of 286 and 279. The Dolphins recorded scores of 302 and 295 to place 11th with a total of 597. Michigan's Hunter Thomson is atop the individual leaderboard at nine-under par 135 following rounds of 5-under 67 and 4-under 68.

Corby is in a four-way tie for sixth at four-under par 140. He tallied three birdies and 12 pars en route to an opening-round 73. He followed six birdies, an eagle and eight pars in the second round to card a five-under par 67.

Junior Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) is in a nine-way tie for 17th place at one-over par 145. He carded a 74 in the first round, which featured two birdies and 12 pars. He then had four birdies, an eagle and nine pars in the second round on his way to a one-under 71.

Freshman George Green (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) is in a five-way tie for 60th at 153. He carded a 75 in the first round, which featured two birdies, an eagle and 10 pars. He then recorded 13 pars en route to a 78 in the afternoon.

Freshman Jacob Moody (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) is in a three-way tie for 76th place at 160 following back-to-back 80s. He had 10 pars in the first round and one birdie and nine pars in the second round.

Freshman Miles Tauzin-Fox (Los Angeles, Calif./New West Charter School) is tied for 80th place at 163. He had an 84, with a birdie and nine pars, in the first round and a 79 in the second round, including one birdie and 10 pars.

Freshman Mac Quinn (Glenwood, N.Y./Canisius HS), who is playing as an individual, is in a three-way tie for 56th place at 151. He posted a 75 in the first round behind two birdies and 11 pars. He then had three birdies and 10 pars as part of a 76 in round two.

The Dolphins are slated to begin the final round on Saturday at 8:10 a.m.
