100-DAY LETTER FROM ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF ATHLETICS AND RECREATION PHIL BROWN

4/16/2025 11:00:00 AM

Phin Family,

As I reflect on my first 100 days as the Assistant Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and Campus Recreation at Le Moyne College, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for what we have accomplished so far and for the bright future ahead. From the moment I stepped onto campus, I have been inspired by the passion, dedication, and unwavering support that defines our Dolphins community. The people of Syracuse and Central New York have been incredibly welcoming, and I have quickly come to appreciate the deep sense of pride and tradition that makes this region so special. It is clear that Le Moyne Athletics holds a meaningful place in this community, and I am honored to be part of it.

These past three and a half months have been filled with moments that highlight the strength of Le Moyne Athletics:

- A Record-Breaking Giving Day – Thanks to the generosity and commitment of our alumni, families, and friends, we achieved unprecedented success on Giving Day. The outpouring of support was historic, reinforcing our community's belief in the growth of our programs—especially as we continue our transition to NCAA Division I. Your contributions directly impact our student-athletes, helping us provide a championship-level experience at the highest level of collegiate competition.

- Five NEC Medalists in Winter Sports – Our student-athletes continue to excel in competition, representing Le Moyne with determination and pride. Their achievements are a reflection of the relentless effort of our coaches and support staff, who push them to be their best both on and off the field of play.

- Welcoming a New Volleyball Coach – After an extensive national search, we successfully hired a dynamic leader to guide our volleyball program into the future. We welcome Fiona Cunningham to the Heights. We are excited for the energy, vision, and D1 experience she brings and we look forward to watching our team grow under her leadership.

Beyond these milestones, I have spent my first 100 days listening, learning, and engaging with student-athletes, coaches, faculty, and supporters to understand how we can continue to elevate Le Moyne Athletics. Our vision is clear: To provide the premier student-athlete experience among New York's Catholic and Jesuit NCAA Division I athletic programs, competing for championships while preparing for life the Le Moyne way.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you who make Le Moyne such a special place. Your support fuels our success and I am excited about what we can accomplish together. The foundation is strong, and the future is bright.

This is just the beginning, and I look forward to the journey ahead.

Go Dolphins!
