Richboro, Pa. – Freshman Jacob Moody (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) is tied for first place as the Le Moyne College men's golf team is in seventh place following the first round of the 22nd Annual Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational hosted by Lafayette College on Sunday at the par-72, 6548-yard Northampton Country Club.

Sacred Heart University is atop the team leaderboard after turning in an opening-round 293. Villanova University is one shot back in second place and Fairfield University is in third another two shots back. The Dolphins turned in a 299 over the first 18 holes, their best round of the Spring season, to land in seventh place in the 16-team field.

Moody is tied atop the 101-player individual leaderboard with Holy Cross' Alex Elia after carding a career-best round of three-under par 69. He carded seven birdies (the most in the field) and had eight pars.

Junior Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) is in a five-way tie for sixth place after recording a one-under par 71, which included five birdies and nine pars. Sophomore Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) is in a 12-way tie for 41st place with a 77, which featured two birdies and 10 pars. Sophomore Carter Mizro (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) and freshman George Green (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) are part of a seven-way tie for 83rd place with an 82. Mizro had one birdie and nine pars, while Green also had nine pars.

The second round is scheduled to get underway on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.
