Paige Crandall '24 will participate with the Haudenosaunee Nationals and former assistant coach and player Adrianna Nojaim '22 M '23 will represent Puerto Rico at the Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) Women's Qualifier, which will take place from June 26-30 at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Fla.
The top four teams from the Pan-American region will qualify for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship, to be held in Japan. Three more teams will earn spots in the WL Women's Division II Championship.
The eight-team field comprises the Haudenosaunee, the United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Peru. Pool A consists of the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Peru, while Pool B consists of the Haudenosaunee, Canada, Argentina and Jamaica. On the first day, the Haudenosaunee plays Canada and Puerto Rico plays the United States. The next day, the Haudenosaunee plays Argentina and Puerto Rico plays Mexico. Pool play wraps up on Saturday the 28th with the Haudenosaunee taking on Jamaica and Puerto Rico facing Peru. Sunday the 29th will feature the two semifinal games and 5-8 placement games, while the gold, bronze, 5th and 7th place games will take place on Monday the 30th.
Beville will serve as an assistant coach for the Haudenosaunee, while Trice is one of five defenders and Crandall is one of two goalkeepers on the 22-player roster. Nojaim will play in the midfield for Puerto Rico.
Beville, who recently completed her sixth season in charge of the Dolphins, has served on the coaching staff for the Haudenosaunee since 2021 as either the head coach or an assistant. With Beville as the head coach, the Haudenosaunee won the gold medal at the inaugural PALA Sixes Cup in September 2021, placed eighth of 29 teams at the 2022 World Lacrosse Championship (an improvement of four spots from the 2017 Championship) and seventh at the 2022 World Games (scheduled for 2021 but moved due to the Olympics). She was an assistant coach for the gold medal-winning team at the 2023 PALA Sixes Cup.
Trice just completed her second season as an assistant coach for the Dolphins. As a member of the Haudenosaunee team, she helped the team finish 3-1 in pool play and upset fifth-seeded Scotland to advance to the quarterfinals at the 2022 World Championship. The team then won the PALA Sixes Cup in Jamaica in Fall 2023.
Crandall just completed her first season as a member of the Dolphin staff after serving as the team's starting goalkeeper for four years. She finished her playing career with a 53-19 record, a 9.01 goals against average, 549 saves and a .483 save percentage over more than 3900 minutes between the pipes, while adding 131 ground balls. She ranks second in the program's history in wins, fourth in saves, fifth in goals against average, 10th in save percentage and 14th in ground balls. She was named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team, NE10 All-Rookie Team and IWLCA East Region Second Team in 2021, while also being named the NE10 Southwest Division Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Year, and was tabbed to the NE10 All-Conference Third Team and IWLCA East Region Second Team in 2023.
She was the goalkeeper for the Haudenosaunee at the aforementioned 2022 World Championship, 2022 World Games and 2023 PALA Sixes Cup.
Nojaim played for the Dolphins from 2019-23 and then was an assistant coach for the 2024 campaign. A two-time captain and four-year starter, she registered 124 points on 79 goals and 45 assists over 73 games, including 56 starts, while recording 121 draw controls, 70 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers. She finished her career ranked fifth in the program's history in free-position goals (28), 10th in draw controls, 17th in assists and 28th in points. She closed out her career by playing in the IWLCA Senior All-Star game. Nojaim was named to the NE10 All Conference Second Team in 2021 and 2023, NE10 Academic All-Conference in 2021 and 2023 and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team in 2023. She was also named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll four times.
Nojaim was part of the silver medal-winning Puerto Rico team at the 2023 PALA Sixes Cup after the team placed 11th in their inaugural appearance at the 2022 World Lacrosse Championship.
