Easton, Pa. – A penalty kick goal scored by Samir Dishnica in the 60
th minute lifted the Lafayette College Leopards to a 1-0 non-conference win over the Le Moyne College men's soccer team Wednesday evening at Lafayette's Gummeson Grounds.
Lafayette outshot Le Moyne 11-8 during the 90 minutes, and held the advantage in shots on goal by a tally of 7-2.

Wyatt Dupell (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) recorded five saves during the setback, while Lafayette senior keeper Eric Axtman came up with two saves to register his first career shutout.

Francesco Pagano (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius/Syracuse/Coastal Carolina) tallied a team-high three shots for the Dolphins, while redshirt-sophomore midfielder

Jakob Priestman (Leek, England/Westwood/Missouri State) each recorded one shot on goal.

Dishnica registered a game-high five shots for the Leopards, including four shots on goal, and produced his first career goal via the second half penalty kick.
Le Moyne created the first chance of the evening in the sixth minute, as a cross from redshirt-sophomore defender
Vito Kreuzpaintner (Munich, Bavaria, Germany/FOS Nord/UNC Wilmington) was knocked away towards the top of the 18-yard box, where Priestman brought the ball down and struck a left-footed shot on the ground that was scooped up by Axtman.

Mattia Boldrini (Sesto Fiorentino, Tuscany/Istituto Giovanni Paolo II) carried the ball diagonally into Le Moyne's attacking third and sent a pass ahead to Pagano. With his first touch, Pagano sent a pass into the right side of the Lafayette penalty area for sophomore forward
Rhys Allport (Wirral, England/Reaseheath), who took a touch towards goal before sliding a pass to his left for Martinez, whose first-time shot was saved by a diving Axtman.
Dishnica nearly found his first career tally in the 19
th minute, driving a hard shot towards the right side of the Le Moyne goal, but Dupell dove to his left and knocked the shot away with his left arm.
Dupell came up with another diving safe with just over 14 minutes remaining in the first half following a Lafayette set piece from the right side, then he denied Dishnica once again in the 43
rd minute.

Louis Weisser (Bremen, Germany/Gymnasium Horn) drew a foul in the Lafayette penalty area to earn the Dolphins a penalty kick, but Le Moyne was unable to convert from the spot and the game remained tied 0-0 at halftime.
Lafayette nearly capitalized on a long free kick opportunity in the 49
th minute, as senior defender Nicholas Liebich got behind the Le Moyne defense and slid to redirect the long pass on frame, but Dupell was there to make the stop and keep the game level.
In the 60
th minute, Lafayette sophomore midfielder Cade Manglione made a run into the right side of the Le Moyne penalty area and was taken down, setting up Dishnica's PK goal.
Dupell came up with his fifth save of the match in the 66
th minute on a long free kick attempt from Dishnica.
Le Moyne pressed forward and created numerous chances in the final 30 minutes, but were unable to put a shot on goal.
The Dolphins will return to action on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. when they host Cornell University at Ted Grant Field in their home opener.
