Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior Emma Sanchez Jimenez (Marbella, Spain/Victoria Kent Marbella/Eastern Florida State College/Carson-Newman) of women's tennis and junior Emmanuel Cottle (Toronto, Ontario/Ontario Virtual School/Alcorn State) of men's tennis have been named the Le Moyne Co-Athletes of the Week for their performances at the Carousel Classic.
 
Sanchez Jiminez tallied three victories to lead the women's team, which included two singles victories and one win in doubles play. Following a 6-2, 6-2 setback to Niagara's Isabel Garcia on Friday, she recorded a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 victory over Binghamton's Apara Khandare on Saturday. She closed out the weekend with a 6-1, 6-4 win on Sunday over Sophia Montero of Colgate.
 
Sanchez Jimenez and junior Ella Fernando (Manchester, England/Stonyhurst College) collected a 6-3 victory on Sunday over Binghamton's Loren Cuomo and Clara Lopez.
 
Cottle recorded four victories to lead the men's team, which included three wins in singles action and one win during doubles play. He opened the event with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Niagara's Damian Janiszewski in his Dolphin debut. On Saturday, he tallied a 7-6 (7-3), 1-6, 12-10 victory over Ronin Lotlikar of Binghamton. He capped the weekend with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 win over Colgate's Lochlan Seth.
 
Cottle teamed with freshman Carlo Zucchini (Varese, Italy/European School of Varese) in the first round of doubles on Friday and they defeated Colgate's Jerome Falcon and Parker McGowan, 7-6 (7-2).
