Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's soccer team registered their first win of the 2025 campaign by a score of 2-1 over St. Bonaventure University on Wednesday at Ted Grant Field.
The Dolphins went behind 1-0 in the 12
th minute as St. Bonaventure's Gabriel Addo headed home a cross from Dean Mercer, but Le Moyne equalized in the 24
th minute as graduate forward
Francesco Pagano (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius/Syracuse/Coastal Carolina) put away his first goal as a Dolphin off a pass from sophomore forward

Andrew Piccolo (Toronto, Ontario/Michael Power-St. Joseph) then tallied his first career goal on a brilliant individual effort from long range in the 70
th minute to put the Dolphins in front for good.
Le Moyne recorded a season-high 15 shots, including a season-high seven shots on goal against the Bonnies, while the visitors compiled 11 shots, with three shots on target.
Pagano tallied a team-high four shots in 67 minutes played, while redshirt-sophomore forward
Felix Ludemann (Wrestedt, Germany/Herzog-Ernst-Gymnasium Uelzen) registered two shots on goal in 44 minutes off the bench.

With just over 30 minutes remaining in the first half, Mercer received a pass on the right wing, took a touch towards the goal line and chipped a pass towards the edge of the six-yard box, where Addo thumped a header into the right side of the Le Moyne goal.
In the 20
th minute, Pagano made a run towards the right side of the St. Bonaventure penalty area and ripped a right-footed shot that was block by a Bonnies defender and went out of bounds for a Le Moyne corner.
In the 24
th minute, senior defender/midfielder
Cameron Stuart (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) sent a pass in the air to the right side of the SBU penalty area for Allport. After his initial shot was blocked, Allport sent a pass to his right for an overlapping Pagano, who smashed a right-footed shot past the SBU goalkeeper at the near post.
Le Moyne controlled possession throughout the second half, totaling four shots on goal in the first 20 minutes of the half.
The Dolphins finally found the winner in the 70
th minute, as Piccolo intercepted a pass at the edge of Le Moyne's attacking third, took one touch forward and lined up a shot from 30 yards out that curled around the goalkeeper, struck the right post and ricocheted into the left side of the net.
Le Moyne will conclude a three-game homestand when they host Binghamton University for a 1:00 p.m. match at Ted Grant Field on Sunday.
