Syracuse, N.Y. – Third year Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) of the men's swimming & diving team has been named the Le Moyne Athlete of the Week, presented by McNeil & Co.
 
Lucas won three individual events and one relay victory to lead the men's swimming & diving team to a third-place finish at the Colgate Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Lineberry Natatorium.
 
Clay won the 100-yard breaststroke by over two seconds by touching the wall in 54.03 seconds. He closed out Friday night's competition by winning the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.10 seconds. He was victorious in the 200-yard breaststroke by almost five seconds with a mark of 2:02.07. He placed third in the 100-yard butterfly in 51.99 seconds.
 
The quartet of second year Owen Daniels (Rhinebeck, N.Y./Red Hook), Clay, third year Alexander Pilieci (Ottawa, Ontario/John McCrae) and fourth year Justin Enser (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) won the 400-yard medley relay by just 0.01 seconds with a time of 3:25.18.
