Bethlehem, Pa. - The Le Moyne College men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Lehigh University to compete in the Paul Short Invitational Friday afternoon. The men's race was scheduled to begin at 2:00 P.M., followed by the women's race at 2:45 P.M., however, the races were canceled due to unsafe heat conditions.

Lehigh Statement:

Elevated heat conditions and rapidly rising temperatures forced the cancellation of the final six races at the 52nd Paul Short Run, presented by ASICS, on Friday afternoon at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Course. The decision was made following consultation between on-site medical personnel and Lehigh Athletics administrators to prioritize the safety and well-being of all student-athletes and participants.

The College Brown, White, and Green races will not be contested. The men's and women's Open and College Gold races were successfully completed earlier in the day.

Lehigh Athletics and the Paul Short Run Committee deeply regret the interruption and apologize to the competing teams, coaches, and fans for the inconvenience.

What's Next:

The Dolphins next scheduled meet is on October 17th, where they will be competing in the Canisius Alumni Classic.
