Rochester, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Yellowjacket Invitational, hosted by the University of Rochester Saturday afternoon. Sophomore
Isabella O'Donnell (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) had another strong outing, and recorded the best individual finish on the day for the 'Phins.
"This was a great bounce-back meet for us overall for both the men and the women," said head coach
Tanner Beebe. Several athletes set large personal records, and Isabella and Carson fought valiantly with the top packs for each race."

Held at Genesee Valley Park, the Yellowjacket Invitational consisted of 16 teams in the women's 6k, and 17 teams in the men's 8k. O'Donnell, who led the way during the Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational, placed 6
th overall in the field of 212 participants after clocking in with a time of 22:27.3.
Senior
Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) was the second Dolphin to cross the finish line, placing 40
th overall after running a time of 23:57.5. Junior
Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera (Utica, N.Y./Thomas R. Proctor) finished 100
th overall, running a time of 25:11.0 to round out the top-3 finishers for the 'Phins.
On the men's side, junior
Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy), who also earned the top spot for the 'Phins last weekend, placed 11
th overall after running a time of 25:44.6. His classmate
Paul Clark (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker/Onondaga C.C.) placed 38
th overall, clocking in with a time of 26:30.1. Senior
Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 45
th overall, running a time of 26:39.5 to round out the top-3 finishers for Le Moyne.
"What was most encouraging was how well we executed our race plan across the board," said Beebe. "This was another course with 2k loops, but with a longer distance than the previous two weeks. Our crew locked in, stayed patient through the first loop, and got stronger throughout the race."
