Worcester, Mass. – Aedan Cassidy scored four goals to lead Holy Cross to a 12-5 win over the Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon at Kuzniewski Field.
The Crusaders opened the scoring just 66 seconds into the game as Ryan Botek scored after causing a turnover and scooping up the loose ball.
Le Moyne evened the score at one apiece with 9:45 left in the opening quarter as senior attackman
Thomas Berry (Tully, N.Y./Tully) tallied his first goal of the season.
Holy Cross answered with two goals in 39 seconds. Cassidy picked up his first of the day with 8:46 left off a feed from Damien Ramondo. Will Messineo then finished off a feed from Will Deo with 8:07 to go.
The Dolphins netted a pair of goals in 52 seconds to close out the quarter. Following a slashing penalty on the Crusaders, Berry found the back of the net after collecting a feed from sophomore midfielder
Emmet McDermott (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville) with 1:01 to go. McDermott then recorded his first goal of the campaign with nine seconds left off a dish from senior attackman

Le Moyne extended its run to three straight goals to take the lead. Off a pass from Constable, senior midfielder
Owen Wilson (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) tallied his second goal of the season with 11:02 left.
Holy Cross closed out the half with the final three goals, which came in a span of 1:55. Caleb DaRocha started the run at the 6:55 mark off a feed from Owen Tunney to snap a scoreless streak of 16:12 by the Crusaders. Cassidy put his team in front for good with 5:42 remaining off another pass from Tunney. Cassidy scored again 42 seconds later after collecting a feed from Messineo.
The Crusaders scored all five goals of the third quarter. Bo Webster got the scoring started at the 13:12 mark by finishing off a feed from Andrew Ottomanelli in an extra-man situation. Just 45 seconds later, DaRocha scored off a pass from Ottomanelli, who followed 3:17 later with a goal of his own for a 9-4 lead. Following four and one-half minutes of scoreless play, Ottomanelli scored again after taking a pass from Tunney. Cassidy completed the scoring in the quarte with 36 seconds left.
Le Moyne snapped its scoring drought of 32:29 with 8:33 remaining in the game as
Nathan Hoban (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) finished off a feed from McDermott in an extra-man situation.
Tunney completed the game's scoring with 7:06 to play with an unassisted tally.

Lucas Winger (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) registered double-digit saves for his 14th consecutive game with 12. JR Long earned the win for the Crusaders after making five saves (against five goals) over 58:25 between the pipes.
Le Moyne (0-3) returns to the field on Tuesday at Canisius University at 3:00 p.m.
