Jack Cannon (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) and freshman
Isaac Brozon (Aurora, N.Y./Southern Cayuga) have earned NEC weekly honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Cannon earns NEC Player of the Week honors after slashing .667/.667/1.056 with 12 hits, including five doubles and one triple, 13 RBI, six runs scored and three stolen bases in Le Moyne's 2-1 series win over Delaware State on Sunday and Monday. He is the first Dolphin to earn NEC Player of the Week honors since
Tim Denet on March 18, 2025 and the sixth in Le Moyne's three years in the conference.
After going 1-for-5 with an RBI triple in the series-opening 12-8 loss on Sunday, he went 6-for-6 with four doubles, nine RBI, three runs scored and one stolen base in 21-5 victory over the Hornets in the second game of a doubleheader. Across Division I this season, Cannon is the third player with four doubles in a game, the third player with six hits in a game and the third player with at least nine RBI. He is the first Division I player since Grambling's Cameron Hill on May 16, 2025 against Mississippi Valley State to have at least nine RBI in a six-hit performance, the first player since San Diego State's Jake Jackson on April 6, 2025 against Air Force to have four doubles during a six-hit performance and the first since Central Connecticut State's Ramon Jimenez on March 31, 2023 against Wagner to have at least four doubles and nine RBI in the same game. Jimenez also had six hits in the game, making him the last player with at least six hits, at least four doubles and at least nine RBI in a Division I game.
He capped the series by going 5-for-7 with a double, three RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases in a 24-19 victory over Delaware State on Monday. He is the first Dolphin to record at least four hits in back-to-back games in over 38 years.
Through 12 games, he is slashing .460/.471/.660 with eight doubles, one triple, 19 RBI, 11 runs scored and nine stolen bases.
Brozon collected NEC Rookie of the Week recognition after slashing .571/.667/.714 by going 8-for-14 with three walks, one triple, five RBI, 11 runs scored and one stolen base in the Delaware State series. He is the third Dolphin to earn NEC Rookie of the Week accolades and the first since Denet on May 20, 2025, when he earned his third honor of the season.
He opened the series by going 3-for-5 with a triple, three runs scored and an RBI in 12-8 loss on Sunday. He then went 2-for-4 with two walks, four runs scored and one stolen base in 21-5 victory over the Hornets in the second game of a doubleheader. He capped the series by going 3-for-5 with a walk, four RBI and four runs scored in a 24-19 victory over Delaware State on Monday.
Through nine games played, including eight starts, he is slashing .414/.528/.483 with one triple, five walks, 14 runs scored and seven RBI.
Le Moyne will return to action on Friday at University of New Haven at 3:00 p.m.
