Syracuse, N.Y. – Four members of the Le Moyne College women's basketball team and one member of the men's basketball team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Teams, as recently announced by the organization.
Senior guards
Sierra Linnin (Valley Cottage, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) and
Michelina Lombardi (Wynantskill, N.Y./Averill Park), junior forward
Ashley Buragas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay/Mineral Area College) and sophomore guard
Eli Clark (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township) earned the recognition from the women's basketball team, while redshirt sophomore guard
Deng Garang (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) of the men's basketball team was honored.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District® honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and play in 90% of their team's games or start in 66% of the games.
Thirteen NEC women's basketball student-athletes from five programs were named to the CSC Academic All-District® Team in total, with Le Moyne's four representing the highest amount from a single institution. Wagner College and St. Francis University each had three honorees. On the men's side, seven players from six teams in the NEC were honored, led by two players from New Haven.
Buragas was named to the All-NEC Second Team in her first year at Le Moyne after averaging 12.7 points and 7.2 rebounds as a starter in all 33 games. She shot a team-high 166-331 (.502) from the field and also led the 'Phins in total blocks with 12. She had the second-most assists with 68 and steals with 28 and was third in minutes played per game with 27.0. She finished the NEC slate sitting fourth in the conference in scoring with 15.9 points per game, second in the league in field-goal percentage (.521), third in rebounds per game (8.1), fifth in free-throw rate on 80 attempts (.800), and tied for 16th in assists (2.2).
Clark registered 8.0 points and 2.9 rebounds as a starter in 26 of 29 game played and led the team with 74 assists. She finished the season third on the team with 38 three-pointers and a .849 free throw percentage and was fourth in made free throws with 45.
Linnin closed out her career by averaging 9.5 points and a career-high 3.8 rebounds as a starter in all 33 games. She led the team with a career-high 69 three-pointers to go with a career high-tying .897 free throw percentage. She ranked fourth in the NEC in three-pointers and was fifth in three-pointers per game at 2.1.
Lombardi recorded 1.2 points on a career-best .400 shooting from the field over 32 appearances, including one start, while adding a career-high 23 rebounds and a career best-tying 10 steals.
Garang averaged 10.8 points and 5.2 rebounds as the only Dolphin to start all 32 games. He finished second on the team in three-pointers made (43) and steals (35) and was third in scoring, rebounding and blocks (18). He was 16th in the in NEC in blocks per game (0.6), 17th in steals per game (1.1), 18th in rebounding and three-pointers per game (1.3) and 24th in scoring.
