Syracuse, N.Y. – Three members of the Le Moyne College women's tennis team and one member of the men's tennis team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Teams, as recently announced by the organization.
Senior
Emma Sanchez Jimenez (Marbella, Spain/Victoria Kent Marbella/Eastern Florida State College/Carson-Newman) and juniors
Ella Fernando (Manchester, England/Stonyhurst College) and
Lilia Raiss (Temara, Morocco/Descartes) earned the recognition from the women's tennis team, while sophomore
Navya Verma (Patiala, India/Apollo Public School) of the men's tennis team was honored.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District® honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition.
Seventeen NEC women's basketball student-athletes from six programs were named to the CSC Academic All-District® Team in total, with Le Moyne's three representing the second-highest amount from a single institution. Wagner College and Stonehill College each had four honorees. On the men's side, 10 players from five teams in the NEC were honored, led by four players from Wagner.
Sanchez Jimenez went 8-16 in her lone year on the Heights, including 4-11 in dual matches. She teamed with three partners to go 8-18 in doubles action, including 5-8 in dual matches with Raiss and 3-4 against NEC opponents.
Fernando registered a mark of 7-15 in singles action, including 5-8 in dual matches and 2-5 in NEC play. With a trio of doubles partners, she went 9-14, including 6-7 in dual matches and 4-2 against conference foes to earn all-conference second team honors with
Paula Casares.
Raiss tallied a record of 9-8 in singles play, including a team-best 4-2 mark against NEC foes. In doubles action, she teamed with four partners for a 5-15 record, including the 5-8 mark with Sanchez Jimenez and 3-4 in NEC competition.
Verma went 6-9 in singles competition on the year, including 2-3 against NEC foes. In doubles action, he was 5-11 with two partners, including 5-7 in dual matches and 2-4 at the top spot in conference action.
