Berlin, Md. – Senior
Anthony Maglisco (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) tied for 37th place to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team to a 13th-place finish at the Battle at Rum Pointe hosted by Iona University on Friday and Saturday at the par-72, 7001-yard Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links.
The host Gaels won the team championship with a two-over par 578 following rounds of one-under 287 and 291. Fairfield University placed second with a 581 after scores of 287 and 294. Dartmouth College finished at 590 off rounds of 294 and 296 to place third. The Dolphins finished at 617 following scores of 309 and 308. Fairfield's Rasmus Ditzinger earned medalist honors with a nine-under par 135 following rounds of four-under 68 and five-under 67.
Maglisco finished in a three-way tie for 37th with a 36-hole total of 151, which included one eagle, two birdies and 25 pars, tied for the third-most in the event. He opened with a 76, which featured one birdie and 14 pars, to end the day in a nine-way tie for 46th. He then turned in a 75, including one eagle, one birdie and 11 pars to move up nine spots.
Junior
Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) landed in an eight-way tie for 51st place at 154, featuring five birdies and 18 pars. He carded three birdies and seven pars to land in a 13-way tie for 66th after a first-round 79. He followed with a 75, including two birdies and 11 pars, on Saturday to jump 15 spots.
Sophomore
Jacob Moody (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) joined Corby in the eight-way tie for 51st at 154, which included four birdies and 22 pars. He registered a 75 on Friday, which featured 16 pars, to land in an 11-way tie for 35th. He turned in a 79 in the second round, with four birdies and six pars.
Freshman
Jacob Olearczyk (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent) finished in an eight-way tie for 70th at 158, which featured three birdies and 17 pars. He was also part of the 13-way tie for 66th at 79, which included one birdie and 10 pars. He dipped four places after a second-round 79, which featured two birdies and seven pars.
Sophomore
Miles Tauzin-Fox (Los Angeles, Calif./New West Charter School) placed in a three-way tie for 81st at 160, which included three birdies and 20 pars. He was the third Dolphin in the 13-way tie for 66th with a 79, which included one birdie and 11 pars. He turned in an 81 in the second round, which featured two birdies and nine pars.
Sophomore
Mac Quinn (Glenwood, N.Y./Canisius HS), who played as an individual, tallied five birdies and 19 pars on his way to a 155 to land in a four-way tie for 59th. He had a 78 in the first round, including two birdies and nine pars, to end in a nine-way tie for 57th.
The Dolphins are back in action on Monday at the one-day, 36-hole Columbia Spring Invitational at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa.
