Syracuse, N.Y. – A goal from senior midfielder Giovanna Vigliotti (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) against UAlbany has been named the Le Moyne Play of the Week, presented by 'Phins Hospitality.
 
 
 
The Dolphins controlled possession with just over 32 minutes remaining in the first half, trailing the Great Danes by a score of 1-0. Le Moyne continued to work the ball through the midfield and eventually out to the wing, finding the feet of freshman midfielder Lucia Devito (Ganesvoort, N.Y./Saratoga Springs).
 
Surveying her options, Devito cut the ball back into the middle of the field, finding Vigliotti, who took a few touches around her defender before firing a shot into the bottom right corner of the goal, bringing Le Moyne back even at 1-1.
 
The goal was the first of the season for Vigliotti, as well as the first collegiate assist for Devito as the 'Phins eventually fell 2-1 against UAlbany.
 
Le Moyne is back in action Thursday against Temple. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 P.M. on Ted Grant Field.
