Syracuse, N.Y. – A penalty kick save by senior goalkeeper Wyatt Dupell (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) against Syracuse has been named the Le Moyne Play of the Week, presented by 'Phins Hospitality.
 
 
 
The Dolphins and Orange met for the second time in history this past weekend at the SU Soccer Stadium. The two programs were neck and neck throughout the first half, and neither side were able to get the better of the other.
 
With just over two minutes remaining in the first half, the Orange were awarded a penalty kick to give them the best scoring opportunity up to this point. Sophomore midfielder Bryson Rodriguez stepped up to take the penalty as Syracuse looked to go up 1-0 before the break.
 
Dupell, who was a standout figure in the previous matchup, bounced back and forth on the line before diving to his left and making the save before the ball was eventually cleared out by graduate student forward Jakob Priestman (Leek, England/Westwood/Missouri State).
 
Syracuse eventually got the better of the Dolphins, closing out the game with a 2-0 win. Le Moyne has a brief pause in their schedule before opening NEC action on October 1^st against familiar NE10 opponent New Haven.
