The Le Moyne College women's golf team shattered its 54-hole program record at the Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. – The Le Moyne College women's golf team shattered its 54-hole scoring record en route to tying for seventh place at the Bucknell Fall Invitational Friday through Sunday at the par-70, 5901-yard Bucknell Golf Club.

The Dolphins finished with a 54-hole program-record total of 920, which broke the previous program record of 952 set at the Lehigh Autumn Invitational last September and equaled at the Tribe Invitational earlier in the week. The Dolphins opened with a 307, at the time the second-best round in the program's history, to land in seventh place. The team registered a new second-best round on Saturday and remained in seventh place with a 306. The Dolphins tallied another 307 on Sunday. The team's 613 through the first two rounds eclipsed its 635 at the Autumn Invitational last year for the best 36-hole score in the program's history. With the tie for seventh place in a 16-team field, the Dolphins finished higher than at least eight teams for the first time in a Division I event and for the first time overall since the Michael Corbett Fall Classic on September 10 and 11, 2017.

The host Bison won the team competition by two strokes with a total of 860 off rounds of 294, three-under 281 and 285. Columbia University placed second at 862 following scores of 292, 284 and 286. FDU placed third with a total of 890 after rounds of 298, 295 and 297. Bucknell's Joelle Johnson earned medalist honors with a two-under total of 208 after back-to-back rounds of even-par 70 and then a two-under 68 on Sunday.

First year Rachel Warren (Virginia Beach, Va./Landstown) finished in a four-way tie for 24th place in the field of 86 competitors with a first-year record total of 227, which is also the second-best score in the program's history. She registered four birdies and 31 pars over the three rounds. The previous freshman record of 232 was just set on Tuesday by classmate Destiny Jodoin (Farmington, N.Y./Victor) at William & Mary's Tribe Invitational.

Warren registered a 73, including two birdies and 12 pars, in the first round to finish in a five-way tie for seventh place. Her 73 is the best mark by a first-year player in the program's history and tied for the third-best score overall. She followed with a 78 on Saturday, featuring 10 pars, to end the day in a three-way tie for 24th. She posted a 76 with two birdies and nine pars in the final round to finish in a the four-way tie for 24th.

Jodoin placed 31st with a 229, the third-best score in the program's history. She had four birdies and 31 pars over the three days. She opened with a 77, featuring three birdies and eight pars, to land in a nine-way tie for 31st place. She tallied one birdie and 11 pars in the second round en route to a 75, which moved her into a four-way tie for 27th place. She recorded another 77 on Sunday, including 12 pars.

First year Kamryn Yerman (Frankfort, N.Y./Sauquoit Valley) finished in a four-way tie for 32nd place with a 230, the fourth-best score in the program's history. Over the course of the three rounds, she had four birdies and 27 pars. She joined Jodoin in the nine-way tie for 31st place with a 77 in the first round, which featured one birdie and 10 pars. She jumped 12 spots in the standings on Saturday with a 73, which included three birdies and nine pars. Her 73 tied Warren for the best score by a first-year player in the program's history, while her 150 over the first two rounds is the best mark by a first-year player and tied for the fifth-best score overall. She carded an 80, including eight pars, in the final round.

Fourth year Gianna Cafarella (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Preparatory School) finished in a three-way tie for 44th with a 235, which featured three birdies and 28 pars. She opened with an 80, including 10 pars, to land in a six-way tie for 50th. She followed with an 81, featuring two birdies and six pars, to dip into a four-way tie for 56th place. She jumped 12 places on Sunday with a career-best 74, which included one birdie and 12 pars.

Second year Caroline McShea (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) tied for 75th place with a 249, featuring one birdie and 20 pars. She turned in an 84 in the first round, including one birdie and five pars, to land in a three-way tie for 73rd place. She moved into a three-way tie for 67th place on Saturday with an 80, featuring nine pars. She recorded an 85 in the final round, which included six pars.

Second year Elizabeth Holden (Clinton, Maine/Lawrence), who played as an individual, finished in a four-way tie for 71st place with a 248, which included 24 pars. She posted an 87 in the first round to place 84th. She moved into a three-way tie for 76th with an 81 in the second round, which featured 11 pars. She moved up another five places on Sunday with an 80, including eight pars.

The Dolphins return to action next Monday for 36 holes at Boston College's Red Bandanna Invitational at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Massachusetts.
