WOMEN’S GOLF PLACES 10TH AT RED BANDANNA INVITATIONAL

Canton, Mass. – Second year Caroline McShea (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) and first year Destiny Jodoin (Farmington, N.Y./Victor) tied for 45th place to lead the Le Moyne College women's golf team to a 10th-place finish at the Red Bandanna Invitational hosted by Boston College on Monday and Tuesday at the par-72, 6137-yard Blue Hill Country Club.

The host Eagles won the team championship for the fifth straight year with a 54-hole total of 882 off rounds of 295, 292 and 295. Seattle University placed second with a 907 after scores of 308, 302 and 297. Yale University finished third at 911 following rounds of 303, 307 and 301. The Dolphins finished in 10th place after jumping four spots on Tuesday with a 316 after posting rounds of 331 and 327 to end Monday in 14th. Boston College's Frances Kim earned medalist honors with a two-under par score of 214 after rounds of 73, three-under 69 and even-par 72.

McShea and Jodoin finished in a five-way tie for 45th in the field of 83 competitors with a three-round total of 241.

Jodoin turned in five birdies and 25 pars over the two days. She recorded an 83, featuring one birdie and seven pars, in Monday's morning round to land in a three-way tie for 60th place. She posted two birdies and seven pars en route to an 82 in the afternoon to remain in a tie for 60th. She jumped 15 spots on Tuesday with a 76, which included two birdies and 11 pars.

McShea registered six birdies and 24 pars over the three rounds. She finished the morning on Monday in a 13-way tie for 37th with an 81, which included one birdie and eight pars. She followed with an 83, featuring one birdie and seven pars, to end the day in a four-way tie for 56th. She recorded four birdies and nine pars on Tuesday on her way to a 77 to vault 11 spots in the standings.

First year Kamryn Yerman (Frankfort, N.Y./Sauquoit Valley) tied for 54th with a 243, which included eight birdies and 21 pars. She opened with an 84, featuring two birdies and seven pars, to land in a three-way tie for 63rd. She moved up 14 spots in the afternoon with a 78, including two birdies and nine pars. She closed out the invitational with an 81, featuring four birdies and five pars.

First year Rachel Warren (Virginia Beach, Va./Landstown) finished in a tie for 66th at 249, which featured four birdies and 23 pars. She joined Jodoin in the three-way tie for 60th after the first round with an 83, which included one birdie and eight pars. She tallied an 84 in the afternoon, featuring one birdie and nine pars, to end the day in 69th place. She moved up three spots on Tuesday with an 82, including two birdies and six pars.

Fourth year Gianna Cafarella (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Preparatory School) placed 71st with a 252, which included two birdies and 21 pars. She carded an 85, featuring one birdie and six pars, in the first round to land in a six-way tie for 66th. She posted another 85, including eight pars, in the afternoon to tie for 70th place after 36 holes. She had one birdie and seven pars en route to an 82 in the final round.

The Dolphins close out their September slate at the Autumn Harvest hosted by Lehigh University at Architects Golf Club in Lopatcong, N.J. on Monday and Tuesday.
