Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's soccer team fell to the Siena College Saints 4-0 on Wednesday evening. Junior goalkeeper
Mikayla McPheron (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) made eight saves in the match, tying her second-most of the season.

Le Moyne came out with energy in the 1
st half, as sophomore forward
Kaitlyn Gilhooly (Chicopee, Mass./Chicopee Comprehensive) registered the first shot on goal at 3:26. Even as momentum swung the Saints' way, McPheron held the score at zero, making four saves in three minutes. Play was back and forth for much of the opening half, but Siena's Catherine Rogers broke the deadlock at 37:30, giving the Saints a 1-0 advantage at the half.
Siena continued to build an attack in the 2
nd half, scoring three unanswered goals to secure the 4-0 victory. Rogers added a second goal off a give-and-go with Briana Neary less than five minutes into the half. The Dolphins' effort to get one back came off a shot from freshman forward
Isabel Kingsbury (Fredericksburg, Va./Mountain View) at 55:07. McPheron made four more stops to hold the stat line at 2-0, but a fumbled save off a free kick resulted in a rebound goal by Siena's Lily Farrell and a goalkeeper substitution as redshirt sophomore
Simone Schwarz-Eise (Scottsdale, Ariz./Averill Park) entered the game at 69:50. The Saints' Lauren Marjanski netted the team's final goal with less than 15 minutes left in the game.
"Time for us to own this performance and learn from it for next game," said Van Fleet.
